You bring up an excellent issue. We should have seperate threads for fiberglass and aluminum tub bolt requirements. There are many differences compared to the stock steel tubs.
All the posts I have made are for a stock steel tub for a 2/71 FJ40. I measure each bolt as it's removed and use a thread gauge when required to determine the pitch (thread count or spacing). Plus I try to take a pic of the area the nut or bolt was removed from. It adds a lot of time to my project but when I'm done everyone can benefit from the work!
