Since the shop is done I'm back on the 40 project.
Broke out the parts stash and started making a list of things to do before paint, which I want to get done by March/April.
Plan is to tie up all the loose ends, then drive it over to Rob to look over it and fix all the stuff I did wrong/poorly.
Lots of little things to do first tho...when I get it painted I want it to be done.

I've got that same ranger and have put over 1,100 miles on mine and worked it like a rented mule. Now finish the 40!

Think I've decided to go another direction with the 40. Been chewing on it for a couple weeks and seeing how bad of shape the fiberglass top and one of the amby doors are in today might have pushed me over the edge.
Plan has always been to stay near stock, basically just a lifted stock 40. But the more I look at what that's really gonna take, the more I'm thinking that's not the best route. Even if I spend all the jack to do the top ($$$) and doors and gaskets ($$) and glass and all that other BS, in the end it will still have a bonded title, and that will keep it from ever commanding top dollar if I were to sell it.
Or, I could go the other way, outfit it to be a badass. Put a 4+ bumper on it. Get a cool front bumper made. Chop the doors and go half doors. Soft top. Go with a matte paint job. Sliders. Eventually go v8. The whole shooting match.
