Looks like a fuel delivery issue to me. Will it start right back up or do you have to wait a few minutes? Fuel tank clean? My guess is trash in the tank blocking the pick-up tube.

Starts right back up no problem. Guess I could bypass the tank again, go to a 5gal container to test...

Do the gas can fuel supply thing first. If it does the same thing I would move on to the float. From the video, your idle speed is set WAY too high. Back it way off. That F will be very happy at 600rpm or less. You could put the regulator on ( it will be nice to be able to turn it down when you wheel it) but that's not part of your problem. I would wait until you resolve this issue b4 introducing another variable.

Found it. It's crazy stupid what the issue was. I had the fuel supply and return lines reversed at the carb.

Feel free to make fun. When I found it I couldn't believe how stupid I am...:)

Anyway runs solid now. Gonna have the guy that rebuilt the carb come by and check timing, dial in the carb, etc. She's not far from driving around.

Awesome it was something simple...we all have done something like that before. Great to hear it is close to driving around

You need the regulator on a Weber. You running on the stock fuel pump?

Looking good!

Yep my regulator is set on 2 psi.

but remember my old truck was set to 4 and ran great, there are alot of variables for where you need to set the flow.

1. how many filters
2. electric or manual pump
3. type of carb/how it's dialed in
4. weather/altitude
5. what beer you are drinking/type of trail

be interested to see if Mardis has dialed it down due to his local and use.

BRAVO SIR!

Good AND bad day on the 40 today. I've come to learn that there are never only good days...

The Good: got the timing set, fixed an alternator charging issue, found the wiring problem that was draining the battery, hooked up the fuel pressure regulator.

The Bad: Spent hours on the carb. Everything is fine at slow acceleration. I can ease into the pedal, shift through all the gears up to 60 mph. BUT, hard acceleration, uphill climb, etc...same result as always, which is you get backfire/popping out of the carb. The guy that I had working on it today says it's an issue with the carb's accelerator pump/diaphragm. Says it's not getting enough gas.

At this point I'm tired of fighting this particular carb. Gonna call Bob at TPI tomorrow and buy one of the Webers that he customizes for the 2F.

Good call. Bolt her on and rock out. Tell Bob that the CLC guys said to call him. He's a good guy. That is the carb that has been on mine for over 10 years.

Just out of curiosity, what is the regulator set at? You aren't starving it with the regulator are you?

Btw, you will probably have to get your guy to fine tune the new Weber.
