No no. More just if you're expecting cream of the crop prices you want a fully turn key and drive home experience. Helps sell faster. That being said, my 1-hdt never cooled like my 1fze. Didn't matter how much money I threw at it in parts! my .02

R12 will always be colder. Every one I have worked on is ice ice cold when working properly.
