update

Last week I pulled it out of the garage to turn it around so I could work on the front fenders (Metaltech).
I towed it with my four wheeler and my 12 year old daughter "drove" the curiser.
Gotta love the blue rims!

I can't wait to get this thing all a uniform "color" hehe.

fenders

I cut our the inner fenders from my old front fenders and welded them onto my Metaltech fenders. This process was done over the course of a year, working on them now and then. I would use whatever rattlecan paint I had lying around to cover areas I had worked on, that is why sometimes in my photos the fenders are red, other times they are black and so forth. I had some surface rust on the fenders from a years worth of lying around, so today I sandblasted them, finished some weld grinding, and primered them. I will paint them black and then cover the outside with the camoclad to match the rest of the rig.

Here are some pics.

Dude,

Your Cruisers got wood!

Very nice wrap. I sent CamoClad a message asking if they have the new digital camo pattern that the military is wearing. I think that would look sweet.

Good luck.

It looks supercool! Can't wait to see the finished product, just don't take the pics in the woods :)

Obviously you got it to go around small compound curves but is it sliced or just stretched to conform?

Bump for updates?

Look for a product called clear shield. You can buy it in a gallon container for about $60. Roll that over the camo since that vinyl is not very good w/UV. It'll make it like it was laminated and keep the color looking good. Otherwise...even though it's solvent printed, it'll fade quickly w/ no lamination. If you have any ?s shoot me a pm...wrapping vehicles is what I do for a living :D
Looks good...and a big high five if you've never wrapped before...excellent job.

My wife would fxxxing kill me if I worked on any part of my cruiser on the dining room table! Looks good BTW

X - 2 My wife would ****ing kill me very slowly if I worked on any part of my cruiser on the dining room table!

Or she would try to park her car in my shop or something.

Trade her in.

LOL!

She built me a 40 x 60 shop. Her theory is that if my crap wouln't fit in a 40x60 then I have too much crap. She also said no chain saws in the house.

She is a keeper. :D

wow. Definietly a Proverbs 31 woman! Keep her!

rust

The funny thing is it may actually do a good job protecting from rust too. Wherever I've peeled off stickers the paint underneath was perfect

I'm not so brave but might do tailgate as a novelty--you've done a great job applying it

Almost all cabs here are totally covered in some kind of film, somewhat like window tinting. Because of special taxation rules, a cab-owner can sell a cab after 2½ years with a profit, so they do what they can to keep them nice. The film protects the paintwork and is a great add-space, so you see all kinds of mercs (almost all cabs here are mercs) with adds on, like a cab covered in pinewood, because it advertises for pine flooring.
