Good idea for a business.

Get the decals in all original colors.

Of course, then all of the cruisers on e-bay would immediately graduate to 20K vehicles for a 300 dollar investment because the pictures would look too good.

They already do, sort of. You can go to your locall sign supply warehouse and buy vinyl in whatever color your heart desires. My wife runs a home decor business that uses vinyl for people to put sayings and quotes on thier walls. You can even get metalic, glow in the dark or that high reflective stuff that you use on road signs. There are special types specifically made for covering whole vehicles with and come with waranties of up to 10 years. The problem with selling full body kits for complex vehicles like an 80 or something is that it takes some skilz to apply it without wrinkling. A 40 kit would be fairly easy. I've been toying around with doing my 80 since the it has the classic green clear coat failure.

Update

Well, I haven't been working on the rig in some time, but I got around to doing the front bib, the other rear quarter, and one of the tailgates....this stuf is time consuming ;)

Shi#.....not only do you have to worry about the dreaded cruiser rust......but now..... TERMITES ????

I am not a big fan of most of the newer camo patterns, too busy for my tastes, but I like this one:

and I like the idea of using a vinyl wrap.

Glad, I wouldhave to agree with you on the newer patterns being too busy. I like the stealthier oldschool camo. I would never have thought a porsche to look so proper with a camo job on it.

That is funny too! LOL :D

Seriously, that will look cool when totally done. keep the pics coming!

SO, any progress on getting it re-assembled?? Looking for some more pics!!

x2 on the updates. I just joined up and this caught my eye. Very cool and different.

There was a ARB Fj Cruiser at the Off Road Expo, had the body covered in the same decaling but instead of woodland camo the whole truck was a topo map in black and white very cool.
Crappy pic but you get the idea.

When the new Tundra was unveiled this year they had one on display at the New Bass Pro Shop in San Antonio and the whole truck was covered in Camoclad. It looked pretty cool. I googled but couldn't find a pic of it and I didn't take any when I was there. Evidently the new Tundra is the "official truck" of BPS.

looks good

Bump for updates? Have you put it together yet?

good timing

I have been meaning to update this thread, looks like Christian had good timing :)

I am an avid bow hunter, so most of my time until this past week has been spent hunting. The cruiser is a project that I work on now and then, no hurry.
I covered the hood back in October on a warm day. Here are a few pics of that.
