Screw a chair in the bed and call it a wagon? Ford did it.
So did Subaru with the Brat to get around the chicken tax.

If you have ever driven one of these, you know your ram would stay in the driveway and the L79 would do the towing.
This is where the above suggestion "unfounded statements be refrained from" comes in. If you have ever driven one of these, you know your ram would stay in the driveway and the L79 would do the towing. These are --not--- small vehicles.
That being said, and with respect, we only have interest in importing the L79 at this time, and there is more than enough interest in customers purchasing the L79 for our purposes.
The chair in the back is a great idea ala the Subaru Brat. Bench seats & calling it a troop carrier maybe?
Unfortunately, and factually, the L79 was built as, classified as, and sold as a light duty truck by its' original manufacturer, Toyota. You can classify it any way you wish at customs, but they will simply crumple up your paperwork and say "nice try". It is a light duty truck.

So, if this is a scam and he has been scamming people for a long while now, why is anyone egging the continuation of this?
Because we are still dreaming of unicorns.
I would love to have the opportunity to test drive a unicorn. Heck, I would even like read an article by someone who has successfully licensed and insured one in the US. If he really wants to drum up interest, he should drive one around to the TLCA events.
I understand that the current 2016 US Land Cruiser wagons are selling somewhere short of 3000 units annually. I still think it's time for Toyota to kill off the luxury Land Cruiser label and let that audience buy the Lexus. Then bring in the full 70 series lineup as Land Cruisers. Unlikely to happen, but we can dream.
And dreaming is why we keep this thread alive. Are they real? Time will tell, but there are enough skeptical posts to keep it relatively honest to the audience. In the meantime we can drool on the pictures.

I am forever blown away by how badly people can ruin a vehicle with poor wheel choice. Might as well super glue some jewelry and glitter to em'.This is right around the corner from me, legally. Details do applyView attachment 1381596
