That's cool. Your pond is about to get bigger.

Just saw one in Swan Lake (right by our house in Victoria) a few days ago. Pretty cool animals really.

Haha it's about as high as it's ever been right now. That's cool. Your pond is about to get bigger.

It's funny just a little while ago a guy at work was telling me about the old 60's muscle car/boat his uncle had that needed an engine.I just remember these cars from when I was a kid. There was a certain kind of middle class suburb family that would buy these. Stuffing a cummins in one is more of a statement than anything useful I think. This one seems pretty well executed.
There were a whole line of cummins conversions at the meet. Obvsiously some a lot more useful.
You know, that's a great point. Dry sump maybe?(kidding) A very custom oil pan me thinks. In retrospect I should have a had a better look at this thing.
There's a hole dug in the pavement below it.my understanding is a 60 needs a SOA in order for the oil pan to fit. That thing ain't got no SOA!
Sitting at the lights waiting to turn onto the highway, semi drives by, trailing flames and smoke. It's my Monday so my first thought was it's gonna be that kinda day...
He pulled over and thankfully had the presence of mind to do it at the merge so he wasn't too close to the grass etc.

Mel sent me a reel if it. It got worse... don't think it's possible to attach a reel? Or at least I couldn't figure it out.
Screenshot of it.

Looked like the back tire on the right side when I first saw it.What's in it? Asphalt? Tar? Maybe heater caught it on fire? Nuts.
check it with a caliper now while its on the truck.Does anyone know of a shop in Greater Victoria that will turn a front dually rotor? It's a beast with the hub and rotor all in one. Since they run $350-400 a piece I'd prefer to turn them if possible. I haven't pulled the brakes apart, but at highway speed there is a bit of a flutter in the brake pedal when braking at highway speeds, and the front left rotor has some checking in the surface but minimal wear. First step will be to determine how close they are to minimal thickness. With most cars it's almost cheaper to replace the rotors rather than turn them.
