Well... the ambulance performed flawlessly for the 2100+ km round trip. So much of it was on highways with a 80 mph speed limit going through the mountains. For an 11,000+ pound brick, running close to flat out most of the day, 15 mpg doesn't seem terrible. I set the cruise control, pointed it in the right direction, and sat back. Almost ran well enough to let go of the wheel... but unlike some RV owners, I know better than to walk away while sailing down the highway. I don't even need a sign to tell me not to walk away after turning it on. It's a good thing it was built to haul ass all day long.

We had it and an older Toyota Sienna (both with 7 passengers). We left Nampa at 6am and were at the Peace arch by 6pm. We probably could have been there by 5pm if it weren't for a couple longer breaks. It was a long trip... especially with a group that size. Averaged 90 km/h with all the shorter stops.

Comparing notes... Averaged 105 km/h in the F650 Uhaul moving truck. It weighed 21k pounds, was 35' long, and averaged around 7.5 mpg per it's trip computer... but I didn't reset it. trip with the barely stopped for anything in the Uhaul.

Pondering the things that have proven to be the best improvement since we started with
3 in the tree and manual distributor points.

My first two after thought are fuel injection and electronic coils ( for the gas crowd ). What do you think have made our lives
the most reliable in newer Cruisers?

Interstate Humour. I-80 thru Lincoln Nebraska. KLNK. Stopped to fill up the Kia rental this morning. Honestly after 25 yrs in the US it’s my first time seeing 3 hoses, 5 options, and 10 prices. Credit costs!! Anyhow wish we had prices like this

Saw diesel up to $7.49USD/Gal outside of Olympia last weekend! That's pretty well par with lowest diesel in Lower Mainland. Crazy the geographical variation in pricing!

Yes, West coast USA is not a whole lot different than here. Washington has the refineries, so no reason for their prices except the
same ridiculous political policies as here. I think we have had what, a 90 cent / litre leap in less than a month?? If things were
slightly different I'd move south, way way way south.
