Well, Big Sexy has successfully made the cross country trip (via flat bed transport) from Seattle to our new home in North Carolina - looks even sexier in NC than in the Pacific North West….

In yet another life event, my oldest son (16) is now driving my primary ride (Tacoma) to / from school thus making the FJ55 my new daily driver. Not exactly what I had in mind when I got into pig life yet, here I am. Fortunately, work is about 10 minutes on back roads as I really don't like driving it on the highway - I'm nice and comfortable at 60 mph in the piggy while everyone else is doing 80 or better.

I remember when the PNW was the laidback spot...

I'm worried that Pigs get more time on transports then they do on all fours. The irony is that jeffinwashington shipped his Pig from the West coast to North Carolina and I bought mine in North Carolina and had it shipped to the West coast.

It's kinda like a board game. In fact that's a good winter project. "The Rambling Piglet" board game. Each pig starts off on the opposite side of the country, and barely alive. It works it's way around the board(towards home), picking, buying and trading for parts to bring piggy back to life and survive the journey(remember it's all about the journey). During the "journey" every imaginable pitfall, including the shameless "transport dragon", tries to swallow the piglets, but thanks to the "secret preservation society" of pig warriors, pig ninjas, pig fairies garlic and pig syrup(94 proof/47%ABV)[lots of it], the wee little piglets manage to go wee wee wee all the way home and when they get there they realize they have been made whole (rust proof)by the "journey" and have slain the "transport dragon" and become known as the "Iron Pigs" of Rustacia.

And they wallowed happily ever after. {A Grim Reaper Fairy Tale}

Sorry to have side tracked this thread, I might be in the wrong forum. This isn't the Nursery Hangover Forum is it.

We are in Hendersonville, just south of Asheville. Two boys and wife love it as we are southern people (Georgia) and feel like this is home. Seattle was a good experience, but too expensive, too crowded and people there are far too liberal for us.

Sorry, no pics... The move was a tough one as I worked my job and packed in the evening. The day my piggy got loaded I was at work. I asked my son to take pics but he forgot. Otherwise, the trip was great. Made it in 17 days.

I'm looking forward to hooking up with other pig owners in the area(?) and perhaps the Talladega thing if schedule permits.

Cheers,

Hey JeffinHendersoville. Welcome to BC and great spot to be in. Not a lot of members up that way but pop in and say hello in the nc clubhouse.

Get that old girl ready for the carolina relic run next spring.
