Making the 4 prong a 3 prong to run the compressor. Drop the red wire — see attached move white wire
Ummm... You should be dropping the white wire (neutral) and keeping the two hots (red and black).
240V is two hots and a ground. Neutral is only used for 120V.

Found out 4 ways not to lift the posts. Ended up throwing a winch line to the rafters and lifting. Moved the shelves over to work on the top! More winching.

So f’ that electrican, was supposed to be wired up for the last 2 weeks. Made a temp cord for the 220v plugged into the welder extension cord. Pulling the trans in the 40. I’m 6’6’ and can walk under the lift no problems. Bendpac extended lift unit.
