And the one that's making me want an 80 again!!!

Saw a new one on CL today ... only $3900

Of course it does have 300K miles on it.

I just don't understand why my wife doesn't embrace the idea of a nighttime run for Valentines.

Ditto, that was funny. Travis and his mad ninja photoshop skills ;)

You know taking your wife 4 wheeling on Valentine's Day, there is a redneck joke in there somewhere :hillbilly:

I don't know about the 15th, we only discussed the 14th. If we do the 15th it 's means I have to come up with something legit for Valentine's Day..

Luke, I think it is the snorkels setting of the 80's. Travis' first cartoon had a snorkel. I still think I need to pimp mine out with red highlights :grinpimp:

Hmm... an 80 with 300k for $3900, Based on some reading in the 80's section I don't think mine is worth much more than that with 212k ...

'Merica!!!

Ha!! That pic is actually more reminiscent of my days wheelin' in the Missouri Ozarks than anything around here. :)

OK...back on topic. You gonna have your 80 back together in time for the night run?

Anyone thinking about making this, or did last weekend's run scare everyone off? Thinking about it more, I figure Missouri gulch may still be too icy the weekend of the 15th. Might have to find some flatter ground, that is also NOT off camber :)

Last weekend scared someone?!?!?! (well, besides the lady Xcountry skier..."We're going to be on the road....PLEASE don't hit us....".)

For me, last weekend did nothing but confirm my love of exploring this beautiful part of the country in a full size rig, heated seats, 40psi in my tires, no winch, no steel bumpers, no ability to run chains in the front, no lift,.......................;)

As for the trail, hmmmmmm.... here are a few thoughts:

  • La Salle pass was pretty mild. ???

  • The Wells book has "Phantom Creek, Signal Butte" out by the Haymen burn area as an easy green that's "fairly wide". But, I've never been to that area, so I'm going on the book alone. ???

Let's Go!!!:steer::steer::steer::steer:

LaSalle pass is a cool idea. I was trying to keep things close though since it will be late getting out. I haven't been out to signal butte since it was the firewood area. Don't remember what it's like, but I remember it being flat, which might be a good thing for a snow run.

The closer the better for me. I say we go back to where we got stuck and get 'er done this time!
