It's like his tires are moving and yet he's not actually going anywhere? Is that like the gecko version of the moonwalk? :hhmm:
I keep telling people that it's kinda like seeing a still photo - 'cept the tires are turning.

Had a rough go up Parson's Pass. Made it about half way and had more fun than I wanted. We turned around and bounced back down. While airing back up I noticed this and could feel it at 65 mph on the way home. Ordering new ujoints and taking to driveline shop to get rebalanced/replaced this week.

Despite having a stomach bug, I still had a great time. This was my first over night trip in the Cove and I will never rush it all in a single day anymore. Camping is the way.

If somebody can tell me how to make a video an avatar, I would. Gotta make it a GIF I suppose?

Yep. There are numerous online programs that can convert it to a gif. Or you can download something.

Look on the bright side - at least you didn't actually break it. I'd say you got really lucky.

Yep. A GIF. I do not know how to make a GIF.

water crossings

Looks like starterbis acting up from the great river crossing of 2013: damn, just when it finally started to work from the march 2012 trip

Damn the cove likes to eat starters! My new one from last spring has a 1 year warranty so maybe time to swap it.

It likes alternators too. Started my 40 yesterday and noticed it wasn't charging. 4th one in two years but they are autozone junk. At least it has a lifetime warranty and is easy to replace.

My carnage from the New Year's Run (but not necessarily a direct result of it)...

-check engine light came on at the first 'good' water crossing. Ran fine until I got on the interstate for the drive home. Had codes 34,44,45 at first. Cleared all but the 44.

- ARB compressor pooped out when I went to air back up when we hit pavement. ARB tech thinks burnt intake valve. Need to tear it apart.

-rear lap belts don't pull out any more. Like they won't retract all the way to loosen the ratchet. Got one kid in the middle and one in the front for now.

The optional CS144 alternator is higher amperage (approx 140 Amps) and is a better design. You may want to look at that at some point. The CS 144 mounts in the same location, I have one on my truck.

How is the design better? I realize its higher amperage
