Hey Andy, I plan to be there Sat morning. Will call you to get some more info. - Shawn

Rob and I are both bringing chain saws and I will have some diesel if needed to get things going.

I will do a big pot of Confederate Bean Soup and corn bread Saturday evening (for those that have not experienced it, it is made with bacon, smoked sausage and beans) and
I will do pancakes Saturday and Sunday morning for those that want them.

Just got back from taking the Memphis boys in. Water is a little high but nothing like last year. we were able to get in from the bottom with no problems.

got all new tie rod ends installed and front end aligned and going to replace the broken steering stablizer mount that I broke some time ago when I installed this particular "shock". Anyone know if you can buy the steering stabilizer mounts/studs by themselves? the kind that is a stud on one side and goes through the stablizer for the mount (like a shock) and the other side which is a tapered stud.

The tapered stud is what caused me issues on last install....the bracket would not fully seat on the steering linkage (tapered part...no matter how much force I used) and when I really cranked down on the nut....the end of the tapered stud just sheared off. This is the OME stablizer and the included bracket. I'm wondering if the tapered stud mount is not made properly...I know that these things are like a press fit, but when they don't seat and you are torquing down hard enough to shear the end off...something is not right. Not talking about the kind of stablizer that has the small u bolt type mount.

So I should be a go now.....

My truck is on station and ready to go when I get there (thanks Andy). Going to hope for Friday, but I think its not very likely that I'll be able to get the whole day off. I'll try to post up Thursday saying positively one way or the other so the trail guides know when to look for me.

See y'all soon.

We had to leave one of our trucks in there. Can you flip it over and pull it out for us?

Wow. That's the Grand Cherokee that was blocking the trail. Somebody had some fun with it.

Is it? I can't make it out. I hope more of the useful parts came off of it first.

It didn't look like there were too many useful parts on that thing. The front axle is torn down, but the rest of the drivetrain is mostly there. The body was already smashed up pretty good.

How mad do you think people would be if I flipped it right back to where it was?

seems like it would not be a problem as long as it was moved off the path.

I think whoever flipped it upside down would like that so that they could come have fun with it again.

It was swamped in a deep water/mud hole. There is a bypass around it that you'd probably take anyway.

What a waste. We should haul it out, drop it at a recycler and put the cash in the kitty.

Good idea Hugh! Or go to the ( . ) ( . ) Bar :)

MEOW!

That thing was a waste when it whent in there. Im all for hauling it out but if we take it to the scrapper we would probably get arrested.

It looks like the weather is gonna be on our side this weekend! Highs in the mid 50's and Lows in upper 30's. Low mid 40's on Sat
