I may be able to participate with you guys this year,.. that is, if some family travelling plans don't materialize to occupy that weekend.
If so, it'll be myself and my wife in my vehicle, and possibly a few other vehicles (2 other 4Runners and a Tacoma).
Depending on what my crew wants to do, we may go in the bottom on Friday, or possibly come in from the pocket and camp Friday night beside the creek somewhere.
Anyone who want's to get an early start on the weekend is welcome to join us.

I’ll be there. I’m considering heading in on Friday as well, @Aaron Oster.

I’m probably going to head out Sunday or early on Monday. Gotta be home by 4p CST on NYD.

My dad and his Jeep are a maybe.

Roger,
Is this a base camp set up, wheel and return to camp or will we be moving camp on a daily basis.

In past years we have moved camp each day

Our plan is to end up in the Coalmont OHV park and exit at the top.

I'll be there with my 2 boys. Might need a early Monday departure plan if available, but can be flexible. Looking forward to it!

Anyone going in on Sunday afternoon? I've got to work Saturday, but thinking about coming down Sunday.

Kevin, Sean needs to move Saturday, so we've talked about a Sunday morning entry as a possibility. Anyone know where the first night camp site will be?

Hi Jamie, it's looking like a few of my salty bros and I should be able to get a start on Friday, and will probably come down from Pocket Rd just before dark and find a good spot to camp and spend Friday night by the creek.
Whether or not my wife Sarah will want to join us is still undecided, and really just depends on what the weather looks like by then.

Either way I'll probably only ride and camp through Sunday. We've got to be back in town for some NewYears Eve party plans. :)

I wish I was going this year but my truck needs some repair work and I don't have enough time to get it done in time for the New Year's trip. you guys have fun

Prepping to be there, from the packing perspective what about fire wood? everyone bringing some or will we be foraging whats around.

I’ll bring a chainsaw but the local wood may be wet so if you have room some dry wood to get the fire started would be good.

If it was the second weekend I could make an effort. Will be at another shindig 30 through 1 in ATL. Trying to stay married.

I will never forget the fridged year I went that I slid backwards 100 yard at the start of the trail and woke up the first day with an inch of ice on everything at the infernal flame.

You mean the same year we had to @radioridge out of the ditch before we left pavement? I remember that trip
