Hey there!

I've used the forum for some time now but finally made the jump to join. it seems that's the norm lol. My name is David and I have a white 2006 Lexus Lx 470. I've had it for about 4 years next month. I bought it at around 86k miles and currently it's at around 145K. This is seriously the best motor on 4 wheels I have ever owned. It far exceeds my needs as a camper, cyclist, runner, hiker, and daily parking lot cat walks.

Current Mods:

How you liking that tinted windshield lol can you see anything at night?

Welcome, that's nice and low mileage. Cool choice on the wheels. Removing the sidestep is a huge transformation. I'm waiting on method wheels and planning to take off the sidestep then too 😂 I miss my visors on my last truck.

How do you like the Vline? thinking of putting one in my 100
It’s definitely an upgrade that’s worth the cost. I’d say it sometimes lags an “long second” and you have to press the screen relatively firm to get it to respond. Other than that it’s been flawless. It took me less than an hour to install.

I was hesitant at first but quickly appreciated it once it was installed. It works well against the Texas heat and at night I see fine. I got 70% tint on the windshield. I’ve had it for 2 years so far. I still use a sun shade and in the middle of a Texas summer, my cabin will feel cool when I enter it even in direct sunlight. Once I remove the sun shade and drive off, it’ll still maintain a cooler dashboard than without it.

Thanks! Yeah i got lucky and found the last set in my area. And yes removing the side steps definitely helps to increase the look of being lifted/aggressive. Which method wheels are you getting? WELL visors are the ones I have on it.

I'm getting 17x8.5 +35 offset 703s with the bead grip in machined clear coat. 285/70R17 (32.7") KO3. It'll sit about an inch and a half farther in. I prefer the wheel about flush--though I bet the extra poke is handy off road.

I 99% just want it for the audio connection with my phone and the occasional map

That’s the same reasons I chose to get it. I’ve had no issues with sound and the map is accurate for me. It auto connects to your phone when you turn the engine so no need to mess with it
