On a side note, who built your front bumper? That's a good looking Cruiser.

I actually don't know. I bought it off Mark A. and its from a rig that he was parting out. The list was from that same truck. Its got a flat top on it and its ideal to mount a winch. Putting it on was a :censor:

Don't scrap it, it's prolly a rebuildable core, even if there's a hole in the cylinder, it can be sleeved... Lemme take it before it goes to ingots. :D

It's all yours!

I will tell Richard on Monday.

The motor is all assembled and getting dropped in today. I'm leaving to the airport in a few hours so I won't be able to drive it til I get back.

Get a whole tapped for a mechanical water temp guage on the head.

Engine is in and completely assembled. Had to reuse my old trans because the one I got was wrong year. Trans gone thru and Richard replaced three bad bearings. Said transfer looked really good so just cleaned both up and new oil. Rig is supposed to be ready tomorrow of course after I leave :(

Joey, If you want I will pick it up and drive it till you get back. Think of it as a free break in.

Dyno, could i ride shotgun?then we could drive to San Diego and take it across the border.that should be a nice break in don't you think?:D

Hmm, oh so tempting :p

Of course you could then make suggestions for my lift to get everything looking and acting right while you had it :hmm:

The last of my trucks that went across the border never came back :(

My 79 4WD Toy Pup was stolen in San Yasidro on our way to go check out the Baja 500

Seriously, I don't mind breaking it in, and I will be on spring break in a few weeks and can do whatever work you need.

Speaking of Spring Break....I need to get my 60's front axle/steering/brakes back together...All parts are cleaned and rehabbed(painted)...should like like brand new. It's been too long

Hijack over!

My flight to India got delayed til 4:30pm so I dropped by K&H to get a last update before I leave and my wife takes the truck.

While I was there he had a customer fall thru on a trans and transfer that he had rebuilt. He offered a fair price for it so I jumped on it. He did do the repairs on my old one but they were just repairs. This way I get a rebuilt trans, transfer and motor. All good to go. I'm happy.

A few pics. The motor is in and is only a few hours from being all buttoned up. The transfer and trans are going in as I type this. The truck should be done late today or first thing in the morning then its off to smog. From there my wife is supposed to pick it up and drop off my DD Rizzabella. She needs a tune up and brakes and stuff.

More of the engine. Oh and Richard was cool enough to steam clean the engine bay :)

I will be painting the red bits white in the coming months.

I'm sure there is more that will be replaced once the motor is running but we shall burn that bridge when we get to it.
