OK, I have found a few deals. I need to get some 35's for the 62 (planned this when I regeared last year).

I have found 2 sets of tires.

Option #1 -

36x13.5-15 Bias IROK 75-80% tread $500 for the set
- These measure 36.5"+ I will have to trim and prob BL some to clear them.
- I have heard these wear really quickly on the street. How about the trail?

Option #2 -

35x12.5-15 Maxxis Creepy Crawlers 50% tread $450 for the set
- Measure right at 35" prob some trimming and I should be fine.
- I have heard these wear great and grip really well after these are broken in.

I want something agressive and from what I can tell these are 2 of the best trail tires out there.
I dont mind getting another set of AT's or something if I have to, but I have driven this truck 10-15K miles in the last 4 years (And it was used for commuting for a year and a half.) So I dont put alot of mileage on it. But need it to be drivable by the wife if need be.

Any advice would be great. I Plan to run either set on some steelies for awhile and might get some DIY beadlocks eventually. Let me knwo what you think overall on these or why I should just go with something else. (Found a set of BFG MT knockoffs brand new for $450 as well, but thats sooo boring :) and it would take me forever to wear them out, prob dry rot b/f I wore them out.)

For percentage of tread life and cost, my vote is irok. They will wear faster on the pavement though, but im sure dan will chime in soon about his love for these off highway. I Think my second choice would be the bfg nockoffs. There is set of 36 tsl's (radials) in raleigh brand new for 800 also.

Iroks don't like mud all that much or pavement....but do great everywhere else. If those creepys like mud, then I vote you offer $400 cash and snag them up. But then again, I find myself dealing with more mud than normal...so you might be better off with the Iroks.

I never found the Iroks lacking in the mud...depends on the thickness I guess?

I don't know much about the Maxxis...I wouldn't be able to comment there, but I can say Irok radials have served me well.

After a good rain, guys on IROKs slip and slide all over here at URE...but then again there isnt much else that compares to URE after a down pour when it comes to filling up a tire and making it useless, TSLs, Boggers, and tractor tires are about the only thing guaranteed to get you through.

I guess you need to decide which size tire you want, and let that make your decision.
