klinetime, I'll post some overall pics of it after work today. I am definitely going the HID retrofit for headlights here pretty soon. Have you been flashed at all yet with yours? Your pattern seems to be pointing a little low, or maybe it's the angle of your driveway, but I was just wondering if you had to adjust the lights way down to compensate for the amount of the light they kick out.

Awesome!

I have a 35W kit, and driveway has a funny angle.

I have yet to be flashed. I bet you have! haha

Did you upgrade your stock headlights yet? (lenses)

IMO this is a must do upgrade on any 60. Bang for the buck these make a huge difference - paired with a wiring harness upgrade and you'll be surprised! I have used the IPF and Cibie E-Code lenses - both are huge improvements even without the wiring harness.

I like the pics of the Hella HID's - great additional visibility. I understand that the refracted light might be fatiguing but only imagine you'll use that much output occasionally vs frequently (back roads, offroad, etc).

I run HID's on my Buell and know i get more side light, which can be helpful for people realizing your passing them or alongside them... Might not be nice, but on a bike i'll gladly pay any ticket if dumb@sses check their blind spot (or just check in general before coming over). (bit of a rant sorry).

I love my HID's ...I'll never go back

I haven't upgraded the stock headlights yet and I think the overexposure of the camera makes them look brighter than they really are.
I think I'm going to order a upgraded harness, and H4 lights, then if I don't think they put out enough light, I'll go the HID route. I just don't want to blind other people with headlights. I've already been flashed by people that had to be more than 1/2 a mile away from me, so I know my HID's are putting out way more light than the original H3 bulbs. The light is so much whiter and brighter than the headlights that I almost feel claustrophobic when I turn off the HIDs and go to just headlights.

Here's some pics of my 60 from last Summer. It's a work in progress, but it's getting there slowly. I probably should do a ROTM one of these days to document the slow build. I'll probably start on the rear bumper swingouts here in the next couple of months and buy an ARB fron bumper when I can find a decent deal on one.

My buddy (my LC's PO) just picked up a 2004 double cab tacoma and was thinking about an ARB. We're going to explore our options in Fairbanks and possibly Anchorage. Might be able to get a better price if buying more than one.. PM me if you'd be interested in getting in on a buy.

sweet. I am gonna get an HID conversion kit for my cheapie hella 500's now.

That bumper is nice...can't remember who I got it from though... jj;)
Thanks for making those bumpers man, they are great looking and functional. Hopefully I will be fabbing up some swingarms for it in the near future.

Did I send you those drawings for the tire carriers? Send me a message if you want them.

The tradition continues

I was razzing too. I think your old 60 was the inspiration behind mine. I'm coming up with something cool for both my 60 and 80 that will be unique here soon. Your 80 looks like my twin!

Nice photos AK

Got a clean 60 there!

AK is my initials haha kinda funny to say that.

Looks just like "INGRID"

At least the legend lives on
Love the steal your face too!

Ummm...Thanks...I think!?! ;)
I wish it looked like Ingrid, It would need some more lift and extra protection just for starters. I think if you look at most of our rigs, they all mimic each-others some some degree. There's only so many color schemes, lifts, and protection a guy can run. If it looks like someone else's, oh well.

Double-Doppleganger!
(For some reason, that sounded dirty...maybe the presence of "double" & "Gang"...)
