@peytonkristen what kind of front seat is that in your cruiser. Kinda like the bench. Stock?
It's from a Toyota Tacoma. Not sure of any details because it was installed by PO. I was going to go back with stock buckets but the wife likes the bench seat so..... The bench stays. It's actually kinda nice. Less confining than buckets.

Have you mounted the retractor or just holding it in your hand? Once it's mounted....bolted into place...it should operate correctly. I don't know why it is like that but several reviews referred to that as well.

Mount it up and see if it works.

Just received my Humvee Seat belts in the mail today, I have to say how impressed I am, especially for the price. You are right, initially I thought they defective until I did what you said and hard mounted them. It is very weird how they don't retract while they are in your hand. Thanks for the referral TCSTARK. These are a great buy and I highly recommend them.

If it's not too much to ask, could someone post photos of the install points?

It would be much appreciated.

Just ordered a set for the rear benches! Thanks a ton! Now my daughters can ride in the Cruiser more than just around the neighborhood. My wife also was against them riding without shoulder harnesses. My girls thank you too, because they LOVE riding in the FJ40. If they are everything you say they are I'll replace the front belts too.

That depends on the roll bar having the proper mounting points for a 3 point belt.

Just installed mine... Two issues: 1. Receptive that you latch into rides too high with original seats 2. Bolting retractor portion to exiting threaded hole in tub rail is convenient, but way too weak of a mounting point with an under rated bolt (too small in diameter).

So corrective action, IMO, is mounting retractor on an additional bracket attached to base of roll bar AND getting after market seat that will likely rise higher and provide better positioning of newly mounted latch receptical.

What's you experience?

Installed my humvee belts two weeks ago and they're awesome. The amount of extra hardware is ridiculous too. I'd have paid the $28 for just the misc hardware for whatever! The belts do retract in your hand, just need to be facing upward in the installed position. No issues and look great.

Anyone have a spare set of these brackets? I need a total of four pieces.

I'm assuming that everyone is still happy with their belts! Looks like a great deal!

2 questions:

1. Can someone tell me the length of the receiver (from the loop to the end of the buckle)? Update...... ebay seller sent me a picture. overall length is 12".

2. Has anyone installed these as rear shoulder belts for a bench seat link the Bestop Trailmax II? Would love to see the install! @Jetlander ?

Looks like sportsmans guide is sold out, but I found them on ebay.

I bought the same set as the ones originally purchased, for about the the same price, just a couple of months ago off of eBay. The ones I see on there now are outrageously priced.

Yes they really are for a set like that. I have found them individually for sale but shiiping is $60!! A mud member is hooking me up with a set

Question for those with the humvee belts. Are they slow retracting? Mine take a little effort to get them to retract. like if i didnt really help them they would just hang out and id slam them in the door if i wasnt paying attention. Anyone else find this happen with them?
