(I'm still trying to figure out how to peel mine off withough destroying the plastic underneath).

I used a chisel to remove mine about 12 years ago but 80 owners don't care much about the fake wood. The chisel dinged up the plastic underneath, adding a little more character.

;)

Mommies hair dryer will make fake wood removal much easier. Clean up with Goo-Gone.

Onur, Thanks for taking the time to look it over and giving the OSA (Onur Seal of Approval)!

I have found it entertaining to skim the 100 Series thread... it's actually a tribute to the boring reliability of these trucks.

I found a few rigs with mods I like... 2.5 lift with terra grappler tires for starters. I'm looking more towards expedition, camping, etc... no Tank Trap trails. Definitely a HAM. I like the blueberry bumper and step sliders on Slee's site.

Wax? Yeah, probably. I waxed the 40 last year to keep the paint from blowing away.

Yes to LEDs... there's no faux wood on this one. Just nice clean plastic!

Thanks for all the accolades (that's from the hundy thesaurus)

Isn't this the rig that ripped off the shock mount?

I want to see some neons, huge subs in the cargo, 20" dubs and a pair of fuzzy die on the rear view.

actually, yes... yours?

Girlfriend's rig.

Robbie and I spent a week setting it up - including pulling the hydraulic suspension system (a major pain in the ass) and replacing it with OME and front diff drop kit.
Tires are 33" Nitto Trail Grapplers.
Everything from Slee.

I'm cringing at the thought of that first pin stripe on that beautiful color.

So, what is the best wax for a hundy? Does Toyota offer anything?

I know some of you were thinking this but I'll just say it.

Should Guy discuss the "car condom" with Mike for trail scratch prevention? :D

He can PM me. I don't want to face the public humiliation again. You guys are bullies and make me cry.

FYI, I have a full roll that is unused and unnecessary since Shawn spotted me into that bolder that ripped off my driver side rear door.

now I am starting to cry...

Guy - I've been off-line for a few days, so I've missed all the fun.

Congrats on the new rig! It looks very nice. Now that you've seen pics of Juane's girlfriend's rig, you've got confirmation of some of your ideas. All it takes is $$$!

Update...

So we picked up a travel trailer in Texas the last weekend in January and then drove to CO Springs on Wednesday Feb 1st to visit with our son and daughter-in-law. He's back for two weeks R&R from Afghanistan.

I need to have a relay added to the trailer harness, as discussed here on MUD, the trailer battery back feeds the tow vehicle... Paul found a TSB to correct the problem. Other than the back feed issues there was no other problems on the trip.

The weather was a bit cold but the trailer stayed toasty!

I'm ordering a 2.5" lift from Slee on Monday followed by new tires...

Battery issue...

I actually did have an issue on the trip that was part of the tow harness back feed problem... my battery was at the low end of its capacity and while getting ready to leave I had hooked to the trailer. I finished packing and went to leave but it wouldn't start. We jumped it with Paul's car and I grabbed the battery out of the 40 for back up. The old battery died one more time in CO Springs all on its own. I replaced it when we returned... MUD is such an invaluable resource!
