Thanks Ryan, that's high praise indeed!

I think once I get the shine off the aluminum (one winter should do it) I'll like it more. I too am not a fan of powder coating so it will be paint or nothing.

Thanks again.
( will you be making it to Steve's BD?)

No worries, pretty sure it's true.

Although....

Ken's is the only other built 60 I've seen...:flipoff2:

( Sorry Ken, the Poo Brown Paint lost you a couple points on the score card:lol:)

Don't think I'll make the BD, Jack's a dull boy these days. Got the roof of my shop sheathed, so this weekend I may get a case of the shingles.

Mobile Home....

Here is the reason for the new rack. Im very impressed with the quality of this tent. I'm glad I forked out a little more cash to get the ARB over some less expensive brands.

Tent is the ARB Simpson 3 (III)
Not the ARB Pilbara.

Don't ask me about $ because a good buddy of mine got it for wholesale price. (one time deal)

Should come in handy for the Potatoe Patch event!

u need some ladder extensions... aluminum

looks good man...

Thanks Boys,

Yeah I need an extention.

Ill pop by your work Adam, the ladder is made from formed alu. channel. I'm hoping its the kind you have at the shop. I've also got a little something for your family to drop off. ;)

Now if I go by someone's place for a fab day I can crash in the tent if the beer truck hits me. :D

Not at Dans shop though...... That would be "sketchy". LOL.

nice rack! :D if the powder coater uses an acid wash previous to coating it will stick well and not flake. There is a place in chemainus that does a really good job. JJ powdercoating. Can you get a close up of your gutter clips? I am going to be making my own rack soon and your look pretty cool.

Nice. Love the tent, I've contemplated one for the wifes honda for road trips and that. It's the cheapass factor that's been holding me back...

Course you realize...ahem....it's gonna be hard to not get the truck rocking when you're that high up and have that much leverage on the suspension...

i use JJ powdercoating at work ... they are the only ones we deal with..
quality work ...

Road Trip Yukon

I have done a few things on the truck as of late but they are all kinda boring.

Things like:

A front spring swap (thanks Steve and Adam)
Power steering box swap (thanks Jay)
Roughed in the storage unit
Oil change
Ladder extention (thanks Radd for getting that so fast)

Also nearly lost a sidewall. (hope I can warranty that)

Now its time to head North for a few weeks. Ill take pics and try to update a thread here on VI Cruisers for those who are interested.

Some recent pics for fun.....

I saw him in Squamish at 5 pm today so I guess he made it off the island! Too embarrassed to wave though as I was in my sister-in-laws DiscoII. Have fun Cam...

Yukon Ho!

We (Gina, Hobbs, Tucker and myself) have made it to Whitehorse Yukon. It's been an adventure! This is the last place I'll get reception for a while. I'll keep you all posted. I'll start a thread and give the spot link as well.

Back in civilization!

Heya boys and girls,

Well I have cell service for the first time in weeks so I thought I'd check in. I'm in prince Rupert after a 14 day Yukon adventure. I haven't showered in several days and the layers of Muskol make my fingers slippery on the iPhone. My hair stands by itself as the layers of filth are so thick that I'm worried it will crack and fall out if I try to move it!

The day after tomorrow we catch the BC ferry to Port Hardly ( a sober person there). Sorry port hardy cruiser people..... But it's kinda true.

With any luck I'll be home in three days and I'll post pics and do a write up. The trip was an adventure to say the least!

Hey.... Who has my 54mm wheel bearing socket???? I could have used it. Lol.

It's good to be home (ish)

Cheers lads!

Great to hear from you Cam! Look forward to you getting back.

I know you'll be busy showering when you return... but did you want to go out wheeling this weekend? :hillbilly: Any day is fine with me...
