Sweet :D

And a very fair price for what it is and how well it fits.

To put it in perspective... Picked up the Durango from the body shop. Total to repair stock front bumper, paint, and fix the A/C condenser after my sons little fender(bumper) bender... $1850. And it doesn't look half as nice.

Pictures of my handy dandy cig lighter power plugs. They're wired onto my existing 8 gauge direct-to-battery fused link for my invertor with a small fuse for extra safety.

cool pic, where is that?

Thanks! It's from the Fraser Valley, North bound just about in Cache Creek. It's from last winter I just found it while sorting out some old pictures and thought I'd post it.

look'n good
while you got it open, consider hardwiring in a pair of USB style power outlets

Thanks! Been thinking about it. But I do have a small usb hub in my glovebox to power the electronic goodies.

What sorta usb plug did you find? So far I've only seen the cheap ghetto looking one at CT, and a rather spendy one at bestbuy..

otherwise, they all seem to be cig plug adapters, which I'd rather not use...

My stereo has a USB cable that allows iPod and other media playing devices to connect to it. I just connected this guy: Cable-Free 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub - Free Shipping - DealExtreme to the end of the USB cable in my glovebox. I wouldn't suggest that hub for plugging into a computer or device, as the tension from the cables etc could bend and damage it or the USB port in your computer... but on the end of a cable it's perfect. $4.50 shipped :)

Allows my stereo to grab music from my iPod, charge my iPod, charge my Garmin GPS receiver, and any other device (ie. GMRS radios) all at the same time.

just get an elcheapo usb hub and hook it up with a small regulator... should work.

Yeah, but by the time you get all that crap together, you'll still have to f around...and maybe only save ten bucks or so...not that I'm against saving ten bucks...just against the farting about..

Ahh, yeah, don't think usb existed when my stereo was built...:hillbilly:

Looking for something that can just be hardwired in. I don't trust the looks of that crappy tire one, plus its big and clunky, but, for ten bucks I may just grab one and see if it blows up one of my cheaper usb things. :meh:

Just seems like there should be a better option out there...I think I'm too cheap to buy the 30 buck one at bestbuy , plus I was going to stick one in the wife's crv too, so that gets spendy.
Seems ridiculous that the best option is to buy a cig plug adapter and crack it open to hardwire...but...

any powered usb hub should work... or you could build your own little 5V power supply...

Cracking open the ten buck belkin cig adapter and some solder seems easier...I'm just kindof amazed it's the best option.

Now, I think I've reached my quota of hijacking Andrew's threads for the week,
so, I'll just go poke around a box store for something I can bastardize.

Nathaniel came over this weekend and thanks to his expertise we removed my ACSD, put in the blanking plate etc and then did the injector pump timing. What a PITA that was! It was several degrees over-advanced. We set it back to the factory specs. Also thanks to Cam for lending the dial gauge!

Also, I installed my military-spec Streamlight flashlight mount/charger I picked up off UsedVic. Wired it into my constant 12v through 7.5 amp fuse. Nice and accessible from the driver seat, and it charges when it's mounted :)

psst...that station sells gas...your truck might run poorly on it. :flipoff2:

Lol, I know hey? The pump said something like 64.9  And leaded.
