Automotive carpet... and I'll probably put some rubber lining of some sort in the inside of the drawers to help keep stuff from shifting around.

Received my 12v dc stabilizer this week. Now I can wire the tablet directly into the truck without running an inverter. 8v-30v in 12.0v out, 6amp.

Get some utherane on that wood - it will swell with humidity, discolour and soak up stains unsealed as it is. I would recommend - three coats - light sand with 150-180 grit inbetween. That is what I would do.

You might consider putting some bright tape or paint on that flashlight - when it gets kicked out of the truck - you will have a better chance of picking it up before you drive off.
Camo and black flashlights/knives are easily lost in the bush - you want the brightest one you can get.

Is that a recharger for that flashlight? And where is your quickly accessible fire extinguisher? ('cuz I just have one rolling around waiting to hit me in the head and have not found a good place to put it yet, and also want halon which we can't get anymore, so I need ideas!!!!!)

Glenn - I agree, bright colour would be beneficial. The drawer wood is treated and waterproof. It's also void-less plywood with waterproof glue, which is not common for plywood. (normally water resistant) I will find out what he treated it with.

I mounted the fire extinguisher in the back along the pillar, it won't fly forward farther than my barrier in the event of an accident. I know it's not as easily reached there, but I considered the fact vs. the risk of flying extinguisher and baby and picked the safer for the baby Plus I tend to cook on the back tailgate (and TABLETOP NOW!) so I felt I may need it there more

How do you find the carpet on the pull out shelf thing? (on the end cap) I'd be worried that if I had liquids (IE from cutting/cooking) they'd soak into the carpet and smell...

It's just on the edge, I'm not too worried about it. Worst case scenerio I have some extra carpet left over I could replace it with. Trust me there's worse smelling things in the Cruiser
