yeah that was my thought if you land hard enough the sheet metal would crunch up into the taillight. I have a bit of rust in that same location when you cut yours post up pics of how you went about it I was debating welding in replacements from a southern 80 or cut it out and put a sheet flat out from the bottom of the cargo area to the outside of the 1/4.

Also are your wheels the II's or III's? I really like those.

Wheels are II's I don't believe they are making them anymore. At least in this size.

Will do on the lower 1/4. It will be inch or so below the cargo area I believe but you never know

There is more structure on the back side than I was thinking. I will probably end up playing the front at the body line like its cut on the very front then Angling it background the rear support with just an inch or 2 removed

Ok things are taking longer than I thought but coming close on my rear bumper.

To many house and work projects getting in they way of cruiser progress but in parallel I'm working on the diesel swap parts and planning. Coming very close...

So the main question is do I find a dimple die and do a solid plate on the quarter protection? I was thinking about a angled piece from the top rear toward the front but thinking a vertical piece or two might be best. Thoughts?

Wondering if I can come out and take a look at your rear bumper. Trying to get ideas for foo.

Ya that wouldn't be a problem. Give me a week or so. Right now it's up against the wall so you can't see much. Been in a holding pattern waiting for some parts to get the engine installed and it should be rolling again.

Guess I never posted finished pictures either

Bumper looks good! Would be curios to take a look at too at some point. Curious how you tied in your reciever.

Thanks for the link. That should give me enough ideas to get this into motion.

Plan to work on this project this weekend, so I will update with pics.
