Is there more room in a kzj78 than a hilux? It can get pretty tight in them, not much room for the fan
I think there's plenty of room in a HD 70series front end

That's pretty enough space , but any ways , I'm planning to change the whole front to '10 HZJ7x

My project will go this way ~>

Do he need to facelift front to hzj77 face so he could have more space? hzj77 face is longer I think.

hzj79lee, you are making me cringe;)

Proves the 1uz can fit into the lj without needing to change the front end.

One little problem is how to mount 2 batteries?
IMG_1824_zps7cf731a2.jpg

Options are:
1. Move air con compressor...
2. Mount 2 batteries and bash the wing panel..
3. Just mount 1 battery

The other side does not have anyroom as the air filter will be mounted there:

3. Install the 4" suspension

Is there room under the floor somewhere to mount a battery? I'm thinking I'll have to do this with my bj73 when I put the 12ht in there, turbo is on the same side as the battery and I want to put a bigger air filter in that side

Only way I can forsee is to use a shaped gell type battery like an optima.

Yeah that would be the most likely way around it, is there any room under the floor to make a recessed cavity for it? I think ive seen someone do that on the forum in a bj73/74. If i can fit it i wouldnt mind having a single battery for the whole car but have one of those big truck batteries.

Under floor:
Yes there would be some room somewhere, but those type of batteries are just not economical to buy here in Malaysia, just too expensive.

For single truck battery:
That was another option. However I wish to keep the cranking battery and winch battery separate from each other.
Had a bad exper a few years back when I lost the use of 2 batteries wired in parrallel!!

Anyway, decided on using 2 x N70Z batteries.

I remember seeing pics of battery mounted at the back of the car in LWB LC. That is another option.

Came across a few pictures of a landcruiser lj. The suspension was described as being, 'innovative'!!!!

I could probably get a good second hand one free from work, that's the only reason I'd consider it.
And I'm not sure wether I'll put a pto winch on it when I do the build, don't need a winch battery then :)
N70Z are a good size, they're one of the most common ones we use at work on 24v trucks
