Tomorrow will check the temp with IR gun. Not going to be exact, but an indication.

Anyone else can report their EGT temps?

The gauge is not zeroing, start temp is 700 even with engine off.

On idle, measuring manifold temp at 80's.

Fitting new original discs all round:

Another test drive today for a few km down the back roads.

New discs and brakes are working well and now have stopping power!

Hey, can you post a video of the engine running please? also the engine on the engine bay!

thanks

My 13BT idles around 120ish pre turbo, 80-90 cold start. 100km/h cruise around 400-450 can push past 700c up long hills high boost

Thanks. Thats not much more than I have with the 1kz.

The probe or gauge is at fault and need a trip to the supplier with the vehicle.

Fitted 75 series centre. Before and after:

The standard issue tyre carrier was not up to the mark for a big 35" MT spare tyre.

Good excuse to install one of the famous Malaysian 'ah Lau' rear bars...

That does not happen in a shortie hahaha.

Sorted the EGT gauge today. The actual gauge was at fault and exchanged by N1 Racing at Sunway, Kuala Lumper.

Showing a healthy 300degC mostly.

Covered approx 300km today taking lc 'home'. Performed rather well going up some small hills to approx 4000ft and back down to sea level.

Only issue was a minor fuel leak which washed down the front of the Hummer travelling shotgun behind. Lucky I had an escort who quickly had all pulling over to check out the leak.

Fuel leak repaired, replaced the clip.

Through away the original toyo cassetter/radio and installed a 100USD china brand touch screeen jobbie...the sound is better than the Kenwood I have in the hilux!!

The swb with da 15b went back to the workshop today.

To be fitted:
Front and rear ARB lockers.
ARB air compressor.
Just Differentials ring and pinions for front and rear.
Just Differentials front CV's and shafts.
RPM meter.

So how is the 15B-T...?

Only answer is its awsome..plenty torque offroad and can keep up with traffic on road too.
