Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and I was hoping someone could assist me in finding a part I desperately need. I have an 80 series, 1992 toyota Land Cruiser and I have looked everywhere and cannot find a part that I need. I live in Montgomery, AL and my truck has been at the shop for months because these people can't find the part. Toyota said I need a fuel pump assembly. I'm finding that it is also called a fuel pump bracket. Does anyone know where in the world I can get this. All I keep finding is the actual fuel pump, which I bought that and don't need. I attached a picture if that help. Thanks.

You try overseas? You got a part number?

I am on my phone, so can't tell if that is any different than what is on my 1996, but mine is still available.

The part number they gave me is 23206-61040. I honestly don't know any sites to look at to look overseas. I figured a Japanese site might have something.

For a US spec 1992 FJ80 with the 3FE engine the fuel pump bracket part number should be : 23206-61040 (or -61030 if you find an original).

AFAIK it's discontinued so start looking in the Classified section of the forum, post up a Want Ad in the parts section, search the Internet, etc, etc.

Try Salvage yards in the US also.

You could try japan4x4parts and ask if he can find a source (new or used)

What is wrong with that bracket, got photos? If it's just rusty it might be salvageable.

I got my truck towed because it wouldn't start. They told me it is the fuel pump assembly. They use o'reilly parts and can't find it, so told me if I find it they would install it. I got a new pump, but I am about to go up there and ask to see the assembly/bracket to see exactly what is wrong with it. I'll have to update you tomorrow as I need to get ready to go to work.

Do you mean it suddenly would not start one day without any other symptoms beforehand?

Also try to find another shop familiar with this model. Any shop that lets a customer's vehicle sit for a few months is just lazy.

Yes, one day it just wouldn't start. Which is insane. I drove this all throughout Central America for 6 months. Literally everywhere.

@mrperry Maybe this can help? Reach out to them and they can confirm...CruiserParts LLC usually has a good stock of used stuff...I've ordered NOS brackets, etc. for my '94 with good results.

Listed as a "91-92 Fuel Pump Bracket"

IME need to be careful when buying from cruiserparts. Try the Classifieds in this forum and ask for a photo of the part before you buy used (from anyone).

Here's what it should look like (the photo above is for the FZJ80):

That surely doesn't look like the correct part. I believe that all 80 series use the same tank and the opening for the pump is oval shaped. This looks round.

Other than rust, there really nothing that can fail with the bracket. What missing is the low fuel sensor, float/sender and the sealing gasket.

Last year I purchased a new part for my 94 from IMPEX - Japan. Original part was 23206-66010. The part supplied was a substitute part 23206-66900. Cost was $55.64 before tariffs were slapped on.

Roger that (fixed), same tank in a FJ80 as a FZJ80 so same bracket should fit but may need some minor modifications to the wiring (connectors) if you use the original type fuel pump but someone may have used the later fuel pump for a 93-97 FZJ80 (23221-46060). The fuel level sending unit 83320-69055
appears to be the same in all FJ80/FZJ80 models (91-97). IIRC someone with a FJ80 has done this swap in the past.

OEM Fuel pump bracket for FZJ80: 23206-66010
OEM Fuel pump for a FZJ80: 23221-46060
OEM fuel level sender: 83320-69055

Here's an aftermarket fuel pump if money is tight:

Avoid Cruiserparts for used parts. If you do need a used 80 series part check with @slow95z (Chris) who may have the used part you need.

If you need to take the Cruiser to a shop I recommend Eagle Imports in Auburn instead of the Montgomery dealership. My son @cruiserinsanity works there and I have more confidence that the guys at the shop could handle a repair on an older Land Cruiser better than the Montgomery dealership.

The fuel pump bracket assembly includes the electrical connectors for the fuel pump; it's not just a bracket to hold the pump body.

Have they even checked the fusable link? I have made a killing over the years by swapping that out in 10 minutes fixing trucks people have brought me from like 200+ miles away.

Most shops have no idea what to do with a cruiser, and that includes the dealership.
