Wait, wasn't that butcher lift/suspension job a rig in NM?!?! Or was it in Arizona? It was U G L Y

Frankly speaking, this sounds like either a) an opportunity to steal an 80 Series or b) an opportunity to go broke.

i didn't know there was an option 'A'

Here's a few crappy pics that the owner had. Will have to wait till he's back in town to get better look at lift.

Regarding alarm...
A few years back I jumped in a pool with my key fob in my pocket. At the time, my rig still had the dealer installed alarm/door lock (Viper I think??).

Anyway, rig would not start, just dash lights clicked because alarm was enabled. I found here on the forum a trick of disconnecting negative terminal at battery, reconnect and then quickly turning key 5x (I think...) to ON postion. That disabled it.

Now, not sure it that will work with yours or if it was whole procedure / number of on/offs...etc. Search here for confirmation. If its a different brand I would go with disconnect/uplug as previously posted.

Nice! Any little trick to get it to start for a test drive is helpful!
