Bringing This Back!!

Ok I'm back from my wedding and decided since I have an extra week before I go back to work I would dig into the idle problem. I changed the oil and decided I would look for leaks with soapy water but I had to go get dinner first.

So I cranked the 80 and it drove great!! I went and messed around going from place to place just messing around in Anderson. It never stuttered or missed or even acted like it was going to stall like before. Then it hit me like a brick wall. I decided it was nice out so i opened all the windows and cut the AC off and BAM!!! Back to acting up like normal. Rough idle at stop or while turning at slow speeds. So I cranked the AC and it smoothed out! WTF??? Is this a clue to something I should be checking out???

Any help is welcomed.

Thanks
Guys

Kevin.

Yea but I get the feeling they are guessing. The 1st trip was a chunk of change and they told me it was fixed. 2 miles down the road it stalled and was doing the same thing so I took it back. Now they are saying its something different and want 1k to fix it. It was supposedly fixed the last time so I get an uneasy feeling about rht.

Talk to Rick, he is the parts manager and has many a LC and has an 80, you can also ask that Keith look at it, he used to go on rides with us and is one of there top mechanics....my inlaws took there tacoma to them cause the clutch was popping and after the second time of them F'ing around and not fixing I called up there and told Brad what was going on and that I wanted Keith to work on it....not only was it fixed but Keith took it on several test drives thru the day to be sure it was fixed

Hit send too soon...I have a feeling they have some guys in there that just need to stick with tires, but they do have some really good guys in there....another thing is you could take it to Easley and see if they give you the same diagnosis....good luck

Thanks I'll see about getting Keith to look at it but I'm going to have to save up because I'm going to see if I can get the hoses replaced and rad flushed while I'm there.

After a week with marshal this is what he found wrong with the intake hose. I'm glad it wasn't what RH Toyota said it was and am a bit disappointed in them that they missed this multiple times. But either way I'm glad it's on its way back to running smooth..... lets hope.
