Glad you got it together, but cant believe you had to resort to the flap disc. Did Kyle ever get back to you? he should have dozens of 203 parts lying around to measure. I don't think you will have a problem with the gear mesh being slightly off.

yeah, Kyle was actually very very helpful and was more than willing to swap shafts if it came to that. I have zero complaints with him. We did some measuring and comparing and since everything was so SLIGHTY off I just decided to hit it with the flap disk rather than hassle with shipping. I barely even use any pressure... I wondering if there was just some kind of high spot on the washer or something. I'm still waiting on my shift rails to put the 205 back together. It'll be nice to cross this off the "to do list" and move onto setting up the links. The rest of my stuff from Ballistic Fab should be getting here today.

Could have just been a high spot, those c-rings are tight. Why did you go with new rails? Grinding the rails was a piece of cake and pretty dificult to screw up. Isn't it noce putting HUGE parts in the cruiser. Those 205's are monsters.

ummm yeah.... I was a little impatient when I pulled them and ended up getting one stuck. Then I made it worse and got my BFH out to "negotiate" with it. THAT WAS A BAD BAD BAD MOVE. I learned my lesson on that one. I end up having to cut it out.

That's the way it gets done, one part at a time. Then soon enough it'll be on the road and in the dirt! While the pics aren't the best (quality, but not a big deal) your process documentation is looking great! Looking forward to some link lessons.

TTT for updates........Christmas tree run roll out?

Nothing significant to report. My daughter's soccer season just ended so I should have more time to spend on it. I'm in the process of getting my bender swapped over to hydraulic so that I can bolt it to a cart and move it around the garage since my space is pretty limited.

I wont make it in time for the Christmas tree run. :(
