New design BIOR front bumper

I like it except for the square lights (prefer round lights).

On the "pro" side, it looks to be very stout and well made
On the "con" side, it looks kinda big - both in weight and size... particularly that front plate

My first thought as well, he says it's more sleek but I'm not seeing it. The black LX that he has photos of on his site looks better, but it's hard to tell. This is the only photo I can find of my old one (his first design) for comparisons sake.

This picture does not do it justice. At first I thought it looked way to big, but the problem is the angle of this photo. I have been to his shop and seen the new design installed on his personal truck. I think it looks great. I will admit, at first i did not like the hoops, but after seeing 2 in person, I really like the design. It follows the lines on the front really well.

Here is a pic of his truck next next to my LX450.

The first LC is mine. I got in contact with Mike about this bumper because I wanted something different from everything else that was currently on the market. Of course, now that Dissent Off-road bumpers are in production this model bumper is somewhat obsolete but I still love it. Handles winching (centerline and offset) extremely well with little to no flex. It is a stout bumper but that is exactly what I was looking for. IMHO ARB bumpers are wayyy too common and really don't look that good. I've never been a fan of ARB bumpers. But it is not as big as it looks in the photo. Sure, the front plate is large but I have a better approach angle over the stock bumper and that's the main thing I was looking for.

Looks way too large and bulky for my taste.

The pics in this thread are some of the least flattering bumper pics I've seen. That being said the people who have them seem to like them so they must look better in person. Can anyone post up some better pics that show the size in relation to the truck and some angles besides the massive fish eye close ups.

See much better photos make all the difference. Looks nice. Yeah a bit bulkier than others but I bet you could hit an animal and come out pretty unscathed.

As far as front bumpers go, it's really to each their own. I love this style specifically because a big bumper is appealing to me, almost offers a better sense of security if I ever needed to put it to good use. Which by the way I have: one ~1yr old doe jumped out in front of me and ended up in my freezer, one car cut a parking space too sharply and side swiped my bumper while I was backed into the adjacent spot, and I've used it to push down multiple trees to make a shooting lane before among other miscellaneous things. I don't consider it overboard and it doesn't have the plastic look of an ARB. Just what I was looking for. Here's another shot compared to my fathers 2015 4Runner overexposed so you can see the bumper better.

It looks to me that he just moved the wings back a bit, here's another photo I found of my original BIOR front bumper. Mike's product is rock solid, I got one of the mounting points stuck under a root, I couldn't go forward and couldn't go back, so we literally had to winch at about a 75 degree angle to break through the root and pull me up. The ENGO was a champ, but the bumper didn't flex at all, and there was a a LOT of weight on it

Mike emailed me last night and said the the LX version can have the center section pushed back a bit, which I'm awaiting more details on.

My vote is the dissent[emoji4]
All kidding aside, mike is a great guy that builds a great product! I got the privilege of meeting him at 100s in the hills and from what I could tell you will get a top notch product from a top notch guy. I think it comes down to what features fit your needs best and what you like aesthetically.

Based purely on looks that's a bit too big IMO- like it belongs on a F250. It doesn't really work with the lines on 100. The Dissent bumper looks significantly better by comparison.

Pictures do not do the bumper justice! When I first saw pictures I thought the same things mentioned here but you have to see it in person. It gives great clearance and is SUPER stout. You could plow through a deer at 70 and I don't think it would do a thing. Mike does awesome work.

BIOR is on the right;)
