I just got my yellow zinc hardware and it was so beautiful that I had all of the original hardware done in the same color...I can't wait to start assembly!

That is awesome Doc. Too bad Dave doesn't do special orders. I have requested 4 special orders only to be ignored. My $200 kit came asap 2 days but I guess special orders are not attainable. I have to order from the local bolt guy and my bolts don't match:( Make sure you have all your bolts before putting these together. Just saying.

Most of the bolts I used to put the truck back together regarding body panels and fire wall installation were :

I need 6mmx1.00 bolts/nuts...you will need extra and 10mmx1.25 bolts and nuts you will need extra.

My build has been put on hold for 3 weeks cause of no info back from Dave. I guess I'm posting here because my experience with Dave on the kits has been awesome. However now I have to mix/match bolts (which drive me crazy..I want it to look uniform, meaning all the same style bolts). In this rare case it would be cheaper to get all bolts from CCOT. They will all match and you will save money cause the kits all look the same. Now I have to peel my very expensive zinc bolts off and go with CCOT bolt kits so they are match. A little p1ssed but just wanted you to know.

Hey guys, I have to apologize if a message went unanswered. I had to make the decision that if I was able to continue to offer the kits for sale, I had to go to getting them sorted and packaged separately, it was just too mind-numbing and time consuming to count out a kit by hand. So unfortunately, this means I have no ability to offer partial kits, or custom orders. The only suggestion I can make to these inquiries is to order a full kit and then resell whatever is remaining here on the forum.

Again sorry for the lack of communication, I certainly didn't mean for a message to be ignored.

On the other hand, glad to hear that the full kits are being well received! If anyone has feedback on sizes that are lacking, please let me know and I could always consider updating the amounts in a kit.

I would say a perfect kit would be your full 854 piece plus having a kit that has 200 extra 6mm x 1 x 1.5 length bolt and nut combo. Also an extra qty 50 10mm x 1.25 bolt/nut combo.

What is the minimum order from your supplier for bolts. I may just order these bolts and have a thousand extra or whatever the minimum qty is for ordering.
 
I posted the link earlier in this thread, they don't have min qtys, but they do give discounts with higher qty.

It is Bel Metric, and the guy's name there is Ralph. They don't have much in Yellow Zinc though, so anything you buy will have to be plated. But ask him, because they do have some.
 
I used a bolt chart at Menards to figure out the size that I needed. I know that a couple of my first emails did not give correct sizes. But didn't get a reply either so?

Anyway here are the pics of the sizes I've come up with that are used mostly in the firewall and for putting body panels together. I will call Ralph and get with him on special order stuff.

As far as the lengths now I will have to double check that. Thanks for the info...much appreciated.

Just received a large new shipment of hardware.

28 Gold CAD Kits and 52 Yellow Zinc Kits!

Gold CAD Kits are sorted and ready to ship, Yellow Zinc by the end of next week, but I have 2 kits remaining to ship now.

I am fairly certain this is the last time I'll be able to do this. The indented heads are getting very hard to source, and I am running out of enough time in the day to get everything together.

So get them while they're hot!

Unfortunately I only have flanged head and full kits at this time. If anyone wants a 1/2 kit, feel free to post up here and see if anyone else is in the same boat, then you can split the cost of a full kit.

What is the diff. goldcad/yellow zinc. I aleready know what is zinc plated . Here we have lotsssssssssssssss of rust so is it tuffer the gols cad then zinc?

Hey guys, I ordered a full kit from Dave a while back of the gold cad. The kit is awesome, however I am lacking in the nuts/washers for the medium/thicker size bolts. Dave I believe this is where you need to increase the amount.

On another note, is there anyone on here that would like to go half and half on a full gold cad kit? If so, I will pay for the kit and see if Dave can send me an inventory sheet so that the kit is equally split in half and ill ship it out to you, or vice versa. I really need only about a half kit to be good, so if anyone else is in the same boat I would like to go this route.

I am interested in the yellow zinc... are the prices on the first page of this post of $155 and $180 still accurate? Or is it set at $200, per your website? Thanks!
