What up guys! So I’ve had my 80 for about 3 weeks now, it’s been great! I got all the base line maintenance out of the way and I came across a listing for a 2.5 OME/ARB nitroshock package with only 1k miles on it but it’s only the front and it includes the caster busings with a spare set of leads! Guy wants 440, is it worth buying them and just buying the rears separately? I did a quick search but only seem to come across front shocks not rear ones. Can I pair these with dobisons or is that a bad idea?? Since they only have 1k I want to get the rear springs and coils new! Thanks for any input!!!!

Anyone know if the RCV birfs are a good replacement or should I hunt ebay for an oem set from japan??? Mine will need as I found grease in the diff fluid when I serviced them

I wouldn’t jump to failed birfs. Failed inner axle seals are relatively common and the likely culprit of mixing. It’s just a sign it’s time to rebuild the front axle. Unless you have excessive clicking ( which can be mitigated by switching sides) or you’ve lost drive to one of your wheels, I wouldn’t presume you have a failed birf with out tearing it down.

It also clicks at full lock

Clicking isn’t catastrophic failure. Given your intended use I would tear it down and seperate the birfs and take a look. If its normal wear swap sides and run them. If they still clicks and it bothers you replace them when convient.

Primarily daily usage with some light trails and camping on the holidays, not really into the rock crawling. So I want to keep road comfort
If that's what you're doing, I'm not sure why you need a lift. There are several videos on YouTube with titles like "mistakes that all 80 owners make" and they all list lift kits as one of them. In standard trim with 285/75 tyres on it, the car has a lot of ground clearance, and is a very good compromise between offroad abaility and on-road driveability. Whatever lift kit you fit WILL effect on-road driveability, and probably for nothing - you'll have ground clearance you'll never need.
I've got an 80 Sahara with standard suspension, and I've never found it lacking. Then again, I don't go for looking for trouble - it's an all-areas access vehicle for me including sand dunes (Yanchep and Yeagerup) where it rips. If you want to increase its offroad abilities, fit locking diffs, if it doesn't already have them.

Suffering from the ills all off-road owners get, we need to bolt s*** to our trucks to make them do something they can do with none of this crap added. Been there, done that.
Your budget is self described as limited, please do nothing. Start using it and address items you discover limit your ability to do what you want. That is the best advice you will get and I offer it knowing you won’t take it.
You own an amazing vehicle that will not stop if there are clunks and clonks. Most important is the cooling system, then fluids. You don’t have to stop all the leaks, just know where they are and keep them filled.

The coolings system was the first thing I was going to get redone, but it had already been refreshed with everything new so that saved me some work and money, only thing I did was changed it from green to toyota red. Also changed to 15w40 motor oil with an oem filter, Just did both diff’s which is why I found out about the grease in the front axle. Its got a main seal leak but its only drops so I’m not worried about that until it puddles. And the power steering pump is leaking but I already ordered an oem rebuild kit from japan that gets here next week. Lifting the truck would be the last thing on my list, but if it was a good deal for the front lift components I would of bought them lol when I deal is too good to pass up on marketplace its hard to look the other way but thats why I asked for opinions cause I’m new to the landcruiser scene! Thanks for your insight
