At the end of the day, a vehicle purchase is the worst financial decision any of us will ever make. After the initial owner purchase, the vehicle continues to depreciate throughout it's life. Further, a vehicle is a need for most of us as we depend on this mode of transportation to transport us to varying destinations. Therefore, unlike a home purchase or 401k, I look at a vehicle as a tool that I have to occasionally sharpen to keep working, and more importantly keep food on the table, clothes on my back, and a roof over my head. So, I don't mind to "throw money away" on an item that understandably will be worth less tomorrow than it is today. It's a toy, and certainly an expensive one.

Life is so short, and one thing several tours overseas taught me in the Army is that undoubtedly life can be sniffed out beneath us quickly and unexpectedly. So, could you have done better on your vehicle purchase? Maybe, but when the smoke clears, is a few thousand bucks here or there worth stressing over in the big scheme of things? Personally, I don't think so. If YOU liked the vehicle as I suspect we all did/do when we made the decision to purchase our rigs, then smile, be happy, drive it like you stole it, and don't worry about justifying your purchase. Did I pay too much for my '11? Probably, but it's what I wanted, had all the qualities I was looking for, and I would pay the exact amount all over again as my toy provides me dependable transportation and smiles every time I hit the start button :)

3 years ago I paid 75k including tax and license for my 2013 Silver hundy that had 12k Miles on it from the dealer. Story was the dealers wife drove for about a year before they sell it used and then she starts driving another new one. 3 years later I now have about 33k miles on it at owe about 25k on it. I've owned a lot of cars including Merc sedans even a GL350 bluetec, an FJ, a 65 stang And the 200 is by far my favorite. Can't wait till paid off!!! Oh and the wife has a 2015 black on black GX460 that's pretty loaded too minus the AHC, which is an awesome truck too
