Just out of curiosity: does it exist, a 1986 TLC HJ61 automatic lefthand drive? Is it a needle in a haystack, or simply never made? Would buy one if I could find one. Anyone?

they exist. but very very rare. Try the european market as they got them and were LHD.

Out of curiousity why is there the need for the LHD. I drive a RHD manual HJ61 and the switch is no problem

xs 3 on the RHD- really no problem at all and I am surprised at how many people ask me if it is hard to drive...

Pretty funny when I put my mastiff in the passenger seat and drive around, people think he is driving!!!!

My 12 year old daughter sets on the left and waves at the cops.
Surprised we have not been pulled over..........1978HJ45 (RHD)

I'm Dutch and live in the Netherlands. Overhere in Europe I cant find them. I own a HJ60 from 86 auto. It's nice but I would prefer a 12ht engine. And about left/righthand drive, A righthand drive won't sell on Europe's main land.....

you could put a "dummy" wheel on that side and watch the reactions then!

I saw a clip somewhere on the web that they did that, 2 guys driving down the road, a car passes them on the left, and the guy sitting in the left seat cranks the wheel hard to the left and the other car drives off the road. whether it was staged or not, it was still funny.

From Robocarp: "I'm Dutch and live in the Netherlands. Overhere in Europe I cant find them." /// Are there laws that prevent you from buying the Cruiser you desire elsewhere and having it shipped to you? RHD vehicles were never sold new in the U.S. ( with the exception of a few mail Jeeps) however it is perfectly legal to import one if it meets a certain age requirement.

There is a 1986 Diesel Land Cruiser here for sale, 6 cylinder, automatic transmission, left-hand drive. He would be interested in buying my 1987 (also for sale) 5-speed, also left-hand drive (domestic, sold in Canada, but never sold in US).
