Thanks. When I am done with it, it will be more stock than it is now. I spent a lot of time looking for one that was not molested...and they are few and far between.
Awesome rig! That's exactly what I wanted to find in a barn owned by someone who didn't know what it was worth wanting to sell it. I'm glad the guy went ahead and decided to keep his end of the bargain!
When you get a chance, would you post close up pics of how the jack is mounted under the seat? I've been trying to figure out how and where it goes in my 5-'75. I've seen some mounted behind the seat, but I would rather have mine under the seat and it looks like yours is factory, so I'd like a closer look if you woudn't mind...

Sure. I am working on shipping logistics to Denver right now, but will be glad to take some pics when I get it back in my possession.

Glad to see it worked out for after all. Sounds like the seller was really on the fence about selling. I've had my 68 for thirty-six years and doubt I could ever let it go.
Congrats, Previous owner felt bad about backing out of the deal, that translates to the person who offered a lot more then you to get the deal did not come up with the cash. Good to see you get it and it looks nice.

not at all. Just figured that first picture was 4.5 years ago...and they weren't new back then! I do like your 31x10.5 plan though, that's what I went with at stock height, and it looks great to me.
I would have sworn I saw that rig on craigslist in Phoenix, could it be the same one? I thought the one i saw the guy was asking WAY over $8-10K though! if you got the one for 8-10 I would say you did very well. Mine was also purchased in Phoenix area and it also had lots of the original stuff too. Nice rig!
