Unless I replaced or overhauled a part, I left everything as it was.
Thanks for sharing the pics. It's rare to find such a well preserved engine compartment. One can tell how original it is just by seeing all the decals in various places. I would make one recommendation though. I suggest you replace that original master cylinder, as virtually everyone has needed to do. You don't want to wait until it leaks brake fluid into the brake booster, as that booster is NLA.

I have a favor to ask, as I see that you even have the original air cleaner intake hose. Would it be possible for you to measure dimensions A and B, as well as the diameter on the ends (when the hose is not stretched)? In another thread, folks were asking if I can make that hose. I think I can, but I have never been able to catch one in the wild.

;) not at all. Just figured that first picture was 4.5 years ago...and they weren't new back then! I do like your 31x10.5 plan though, that's what I went with at stock height, and it looks great to me.

Cool. Yeah, they have held up well (of course, they only have a couple thousand miles on them). No dry rot at all.

I would have sworn I saw that rig on craigslist in Phoenix, could it be the same one? I thought the one i saw the guy was asking WAY over $8-10K though! if you got the one for 8-10 I would say you did very well. Mine was also purchased in Phoenix area and it also had lots of the original stuff too. Nice rig!

It was on Craigslist when I found it in 2010; I happened to find it right when it was listed. He had over a hundred calls after me, which is why I was convinced that it was not gonna be there when I showed up.

Man, what an emotional rollercoaster! A sad turn out with a happy ending, this is cinema stuff!

Yeah, it was a wild ride there for a bit!

Great point about the master cylinder/brake booster.

I'll be glad to measure that hose next time I am over at the storage facility. It is locked up for winter, but I'll swing by next week.

Both nice trucks, I hope you enjoy them.

Yes, two sweet rigs-best for showing off stock and getting dirty..............
