OK, I got around to test fitting the fan and it looks like it will fit, a bit tight but will fit but you will have to move the stock horns. Maybe a good time to upgrade although they don't bother me, I don't need horns to prove my manhood.

Anyway please note that I test fitted it on my 96' Cruiser with an old school 94' grille. I don't expect the new grill to be any different but if it were you could do a little trimming to the back side of the grille no problem.

Sorry crappy cell phone pics:
Stock horns need to be relocated:

One of the stock mounts for the JDM fan can be utilized on this fan but the rest will have to be fabbed up with straps:

View from above shows about 1/4" of clearance between the grille and the fan motor housing.

So if you live in the S.D. area I would hit up the guy (CL Ad), he lives in Claremont. If you are up North in OC or LA I could probably swing by tomorrow and grab one for you, just shoot me a PM offer good to SoCal 80 members only.

Thanks to Mark "Bluetribal" for getting me the fan. I've mounted the fan and it fits nicely. Not wired up yet but I was able to use one of the stock mounting tab and fab the other two. Tweeked the horn around and it was a good fit. Thanks again Mark!

Yup you got it, that's exactly how I envisioned it mounting up. I am currently knocking off a list of things to get done for my Baja 1,000 trip so I probably won't get to mine right away. I plan on hooking mine up to a stock button to my dash so I can turn it on manually when I am on a slow moving trail, stop & go traffic or stopped at a pit stop after some hard wheeling!

It was good meeting you Nick. Hopefully next time on the trail!

Oh hay, snap a pic of where you relocated your horn. I have a second batter tray so it was looking a little difficult for me.

I did not relocate the horn, just loosen the bolt in the back of the horn and turn it until it fit. The right horn is the one you move the most. here are some pictures. There are plenty of room between the fan and grill.
