I have these mirrors and really like them. Slightly convex but still clear and crisp, I can see the side, the tire on the road, and cars beside me.
I just didn’t want to put three more holes in my old style door, so you probably have more choices.

Also I do see this mirror on a lot of rigs, sometimes in the horizontal configuration which I definitely don’t like, but better than jeep mirrors I suppose. To each their own.

Yep I saw that, maybe that arm would work on Karls truck for a fraction of the cost of the Icons?

I spent good time modifying karls doors for those arms. No changing it now or I'll be all sad.

Wow! I had no idea. That looks like a big time operation and quite the skill under that roof. I saw an 80 pulling a huge trailer, too! You might want to pick up one of my new t-shirt designs. Ha.

Pretty small really. We have our niche though.

I would not recommend pulling an 18' enclosed behind an 80 with no brake controller... Or with a brake controller.....

Fortunately, it was a light load out in the trailer that day.

The POS shop truck was in for warranty work. I can't remember which repair it was. When the AC failed, the pinion bearing chewing itself up, the failed oil cooler line pissing oil on the exhaust, the mystery electrical issue that murdered a battery, or the pinion seal that failed after the pinion bearing was replaced.

That pickup is the biggest turd I've ever owned and I've owned some serious shıtboxes over the years.

This thread has gotten me shopping mirrors. Right now my 40 helps me get my daily stretching in because every time I drive over 40mph I need to reach over to the passenger side and push the mirror/sail back out so I can see

What's holding me back is leaving the holes on the side of the door after moving to a windshield hinge setup. Just bought a flex-core welder from HF but I don't think that will be my first practice...

Get some round or pan head screws to fill the holes. Maybe paint them or get stainless.

When I changed the mirrors on my beater GMC C3500 I used little plastic plup / caps I got from a well supplied hardware store (and touched up w matching white paint).

This thread has gotten me shopping mirrors.

The euro style Toyota ones aren't horrible other than the arm folding back on the driver's side at speed. I've got some other ideas on how to firm up that joint that I might try when the CA plan falls apart on me again. Mostly just using silicone to make a bumper of sorts inside the housing where it mounts.

Last time the glue lasted about a year before it started being a pain again, so maybe it isn't that big of a deal either.

I was nearly going to pick those but based on your comment I held off and went for the windshield-mount ones w/ the convex mirrors. Crossing fingers that Ill be able to see, but it looks like worse case scenario I can use the mirror heads I have w/ the hardware that comes w/ the convex mirrors if they are too small

When I bought my truck it had the windshield mirrors. There were painted screws in the door mirror holes. You could barely notice them.
