I wonder if it's cheaper for you to buy a complete door?

No ,I bought on for my other 75 and it was nearly $2000. They have probably come down since then ,but not much.
We pay what the mining companies pay, probably more.

Id rather that spare wheel holder than a wife.

Keep the kaymar! I would kill for one

I hate to think what one weighs. I would be good if things like these had a quick release gizmo so you could leave it in the shed when not needed.
I havent looked ,but seeing it incorporates a 3.5t towbar,I imagine it will have about 12x 25mm bolts and nuts done up to 100 ft/lbs covered in red mud going into the chassis.
I certainly wouldnt have bought one,but Ill probably stick with it for the time being.

can you buy new take off doors from the mines in Oz?
<here, you can get complete doors for $300 if you pic them up or $1300 if you have them crate them for delivery ... get the idea? they don't want to crate them up.>

Its the mines that suck all that stuff up and forces prices through the roof here. I doubt that they would be selling anything thats still useful to them.
There is one or 2 places that circumvent the local dealers and get panels direct from Japan but they are still not cheap.
I think for about $500 someone would bang that out and paint it for me to a high standard.
In any case I would have to pay someone to paint a new door.

before you get too carried away, try this
let the air out of a football
remove inner panel and guts
insert flattened football at the convex of the dent
put a piece of wide flat bar over inner openings if you have any
inflate the football till the dent pops out.
deflate football and remove

i have tried this many times over the decades and you will be amazed at how well it can work.

Nice find, that carpet on the dash looks factory, I've never seen one before, were they an option?

No,aftermarket, most cars, buses trucks in oz have them to protect the dash from the sun. They are held in place by adhesive backed velcro ,although the 70 series doesnt need that because of the way the dash slopes.
Im always surprised when people in NA havent seen them before.

They can be had with/without the gauge cover. This guys does overseas and I have dealt with him before in person.I dont know about 40s ,but all other series are covered.

I got one with my 77 and laughed at the thought of it. Though I do really like the thing and prefer having one now.

My dash seems top collect all the little things you need close to you when driving, the sunglasses ,wallet, phones etc ,and the dash mat does a great job of not letting them slide around.

When you want to sell a car,you throw the mat in the boot and the buyer sees a brand new dash;)

Wheres these pictures at :D

Bet your spewing about this weather, unless you have a workshop then your set..

Wayne do you use an American football or a European football?:D

silly boy, Canadian ...
Euro are too small
American are too sensitive to being poked.

Canadian has thick skin, easily inflated and are large enough to fill any hole.

There's only one foot ball, an aussie rules football!!

I was only inquiring if the required football was round or oblong. ( geeez ):D

Well I bought a soccer ball, they were cheapest as the aussie rules season is in full swing and I think the soccer season has finished here;)
