As i mentioned in my earlier post I have been a 40 owner for a long time. I look forward to joining the Pig Brotherhood! I am sure you will see alot of questions from me. Well, onto the porn! Welcome to the stye

You have a good one! Even has the "factory" Nippondenso AC unit.

She's a PP (pretty pig) for sure.

This site is full of the real experts on the faithful swine.

Have fun!

Congratulations

Man, another beautiful green and white one! You guys are killing me. I'd just like to have a good dash pad, like that. Great find.

Awesome!! Glad you got it. Thats a beauty of a pig and the dashpad is very nice.

Regarding the AC unit- I know AC wasnt offered until at least 73, maybe later. Could this be a dealer retrofit?

Haven't had much time to dig around the pig yet. Got dropped off around 3 on Saturday. First impressions are pretty good. Front seat is toast, both driver and passenger floorboards have pretty good cancer. The one glaring detail the seller left out was the crappy brush on paint job. No biggie in the grand scheme of things, after I get done cutting out cancer and repairing bad bondo work she'll probably need a respray anyways. pretty pleased with originality of the truck, all the hard to keep items are there, full tool roll, jack with all the parts and front and rear mats are in good shape. Also got the window sticker from 71 and the color sales brochure, pretty neat to look at. Real pleased with the condition of the engine. I'm having back surgery on Thursday so it will be awhile before any progress is made, at least I will have plenty of time to read Mud!

It looks like a lot of the little bits and pieces that can drive you crazy looking for are still there. That sure counts for something in my book. Lots of potential sitting there. Good luck with your surgery!!!

Just received my new floor pans and front body mounts from Bobm! As many of you know these are top quality parts, I look forward to installing them. I am waiting on an order to arrive from Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters to begin the build. I will probably start a build thread to document. I know I will need to lean on you experienced Pig owners for help!

Thanks,
Lee

So, the journey begins. You picked two good companies, to buy parts from. Bob's patch panels make it look easy, even for me. Be careful with your back, for awhile. I was cut on too, worst part is over. Let it heal.

Good luck, Ron

Lee, any questions on install feel free to contact me. Take care of the back before you dive in O.K.

Thanks Bob.

It is hard not to begin working on the Pig. It is filling up with parts. My plans are to keep it as close to stock as possible. Drivetrain will stay the same, including the three on the tree. The vehicle cranks and runs pretty good. Will drop a pertronics kit in the dizzy. I picked up a disc brake setup from Arcteryx, so that will go on. The interior needs work especially the front seat. Replace rot, made a lot easier thanks to Bobm! I am three weeks removed from back surgery so unfortunately it might be Thanksgiving before the work begins.
