Wanted to start a dedicated thread to my new to me 71 FJ55. Been a long time lurker/luster of FJ55s and finally am a Pig owner. To start with I am admittedly taking a giant shortcut as this Pig was restored by TLC a few years back so it's certainly nice as is and I really don't plan to do too much other than a few small things here and there but mainly plan to just enjoy driving it. I've been daily driving it for first month or so but will probably cut back a bit - just can't resist driving it. More details and I'll definitely have many questions for sure but the main upgrades from factory other than the obvious from pictures are rebuilt 2F, 4 speed, newer steering column and many minor upgrades.

I'll try to keep this updated with progress and questions along the way but here's a few pics I have on hand.

Looking forward to learning more from all and contributing along the way.

Very nice.....love the colors! Enjoy

Great looking pig. They really are a decent looking vehicle when they are cleaned up right. Colors are great!!!

I don't think buying one restored is cheating. In fact, I think it is the smart thing to do. Let some other idiot have all the worry and spend the big buck. Let's face it, these thing do not bring the big bucks and if you do restore one, you will never get your money out of it. Nope, in my mind buying one that somebody else paid to have restored is the smart thing to do. Why didn't I think of that???:bang:

Wow! That is nice!!!

What colors are those? Wondering if they are Toyota colors?

What tires are on there? They look perfect! I cannot tell if it has any lift to accomodate those. The tires look very proportional to the body lines and wheel openings.

Welcome to the best corner of MUD, the Pig Pen!

Nice...er, great looking pig. Welcome to the farm. Definately take the pig to the local Toyota dealer and spin some heads - it's well wotth the trip.

Pigs are cool....

Oh, we need more photos...

A guy over at expedition portal had it for sale back in August or September I think. But he decided to keep it...

But I had heard he changed his mind since he was looking for a Tiger.

Great looking pig btw... MAJOR drool factor.
