F or 2F does not have anything to do with a three speed or a four speed. 1/75 the 2F replaced the F engine. Not market still had a three speed behind a 2F up to 10/82. The four speed was a mid model year change in the US. It started 1/74.

Been at least twenty years still I bought a tailgate from a wrecking yard. I paid $40 for the whole setup. Hinges, latches, chains and the bolts the chains used on the tub. Some where along the line everything got gold plated.

Yeah I won’t pay stupid prices for stuff. They can let it rot.

Personally I would do either a replacement full tub or 3/4 tub on that. Would accelerate the build by about 2 years over fixing all that rust.

Yeah. I’m considering a Aqualu as they are a few hour drive across the boarder from me. Still researching the aluminum world. Maybe it will give me a reason to upgrade to an aluminum welder (I live finding reasons to buy tools)

One thing I do not see is the darth vader light … I would think it would have been there or at least a big hole

With the start of the 74 model the interior light moved to the either the left hard top side or B pillar bow driver's side. 73 model the end of Vader light.

I did an Aqualu and I loved it. 3/4 tub. Just etch it first.

Thanks. I’ve also read about powder coating it first before doing body work or painting which will give something for the paint to stick to.
