@1978HJ45 I am looking at monstaliner
I don't have a compressor at this point and rolling it wouldn't get the nooks.
I'm looking at my options though. Ideally I would do this and then put all my stuff back on my bumper.
Less work for me if the bumper is essentially stripped right now.

There was a break in the weather this evening, so I mounted up the awning.

Awnings are super handy specially during summer at the beach, keeps the beer esky shaded.

I have one bushwacky trip planned for August Long Weekend.
I'll be taking the awning off probably for that trip.
Not worth ripping holes in the stuff.
That or just wrap a tarp over it for the sketchy section....

Bought the RTT and awning package from Andy @ Canada Rooftop Tents. I think he is out of stock but it's the same setup as the CVT ones.

Damn, I want a RTT but the only ones I see here are the hard top types and they are silly expensive.

The thought has crossed my mind to fill a 20ft container full of them and sell em.
I've had a bunch of thoughts like that.....

Haha....ya..me, too. I could probably sell 20 of them on Yahoo auctions in a week.

Gave Rotella T6 a try from January to the beginning of May (4500kms)
Was curious if I should bother running it or not. Definately started easier.
Lots of stop go in the winter, didn't get a whole lot of highway in this year.
Here was the oil analaysis results. I'm about 600kms away from an oil change with 15w-40 rotella.
I'll get that tested when I drop it.

Interesting stuff. I change my oil religiously but don't bother to test it.

Looking back I wish I did since I've now played with shell rotella 10w-30 (diesel oil), shell rotella 15w-40 and now Amsoil 15w-40. Amsoil is certainly the nicest and I notice a difference in both running and starting. Oil level hasn't dropped at all since running synthetic after 3500km either.

I've always changed oil and filter every 5000km. After running the T6 how long do you intend to run with it until next oil change. Synthetic can run longer but just how much longer?

I'm religious with the oil changes. I won't do extended in this truck even with synth because of the IDI.

I bought the T6 mainly for the cold starts in the winter. Its not like it gets cold like where you live but it does help with those cold snaps.
I wanted to buy something that was easy to just get at the store if I needed it. We do get cold snaps upwards of close to -20 plus I wanted to know I would always be golden even after a day of skiing or if I needed take a winter drive inland to somewhere cold.

It ran like a champ on this oil but I am curious if it should kept being ran or switched to something else.
Probably a question for bob's the oil guy.

I've heard so much of the concerns of switching to synthetic and new oil leaks seem to appear. Also have heard that if you go with one stay with it. Most of this is all hearsay but I wonder if it is indeed okay to go back and forth between Dino and synthetic.

Got the bumper blasted today.
Hoping to get it to the powder coater first thing in the morning before heading to camp.
May not happen but we will see.

Still waiting for my HID extensions for the Lightforce 240 XGT HID conversion.
Also need to finish my winch clean up (tap a few things and am waiting for the split collar for the brake.
Ideally I can get the winch done on the bumper before putting it on my truck.

Stay tuned.

If your winch isn't done in time you'll be removing the bumper again. I had to take my ARB off to remove the 8274-50, it's the only way because the damn thing is so huge

Looking good, keep up the good work.

Haven't updated this in a little while.

Bumper was powdercoated with 2lbs of powder.

Went through an 8274 and did all the mods I wanted to get done to one and I realized that I could not fit it along with my fog lights or the lightforces I plan on putting on. Back on with the xd9000i.

Put new emu sport shocks and stabilizer on. Running hilux rear shocks in the back and 80 series rear J lift shocks for the front. Part numbers are in my first post.

Installed led signals into my bullbar as well.
