I would need a lot of alcohol to muster up the courage to cut my hood. : )

It doesn't sit quite right with me to be honest. Would prefer front mount but I just can't swing it with factory AC.
I'm not going to the extent of screwing with it for that.
Looks a little ghetto at this point, I plan on getting two peices welded to the intercooler to fully seal the intercooler to the hood.
This will happen after the trip. Will have to do a little more support cutting.
Also have to relocate the washer nozzles as the STI scoop is just too wide for it.
The scoop was color matched and I cut the front bottom peice out to try and make it look better.
The intercooler hole will stick slightly past the bottom, but its huge and should catch sufficicient airflow.

Gonna be ready to do the Telkwa Pass in August bud?

yup I plan on it. I hope to not be working at that time (should be clear)

Nice work mate

Little trip update, sorry about the low quality photo.

Truck fetched on average 13.1/100km basically empty on the way down. I can drive hungry hill now at 95km/h at 1000f on the pyro. Intercooler should perform better once I mod it slightly to seal it to the hood. The bit scoop should help too.

Big thanks to Jason from Cruisin off-road for fabbing up a set of sliders for my truck. I hope to abuse them in the near future. Big thanks for surprise powder coating them for me as I was expecting to take them home raw.

Got the sides sprayed with LineX in 045 Toyota white, i knew it wasn't going to match 100% but it is ok with me as this should prevent rusting in the areas that count. See how it holds up, I suspect it will do its job well.

There was some miscommunication about getting the bumper sprayed in lineX black so this will either get done when I go back down in September or I may look at getting some monstaliner and doing it locally. I think once it's black it will really suit the truck nice.

Pardon the stink bug look, I have about 1000lbs of crossfit equipment in the back.

Also ordered a 120w (12x10W) single row led bar for the top of the bullbar. Can't go wrong for $160 shipped to your door.

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/subject/793513168.html

Also going to be converting a set of 240XGTs to 70w 6000k once the bulb adapters arrive from aus.

This should be more than enough lights for highway driving:)

Looking at getting an Albright for my 8274. Need to tap a drain, fill and breathers into the winch before I add it onto the truck.

Finish the intercooler job and the 12mm pump install should be done sometime here in May.

Stay tuned.

Looking very good man. Can't wait to hear how things work out with the coming modifications.

What grade is the hill you were talking about? Sounds like you have plenty of power.

I'm going to look at getting my ARB bar coated with Monstaliner, going to throw him a message here.
Its just easier for me as it sounds like the :princess: wants to fly down in September for our friends wedding.
I really want to get the coating thing done and put it together once and not have to rip it apart again in the summer...

Hungry hill is 9% off the top of my head
Coming up through the Canyon on the way home she performed well, good the whole way home for that matter.
Even with over 1000lbs of weights in it chugged along like a little train.
The scoop/hood sealing should help things out in terms of efficiency of the cooler.
Lots of air is just passing it at this point....

Put these decals on finally after collecting dust in the drawer for the last few months

Also put some aluminum backed grip tape on the sliders to protect the powdercoat a bit.
Girlfriend is prone to slipping on things when wet, this should eliminate that.

Can't wait to have the ARB in black with LEDS, 8274 and the Lightforces installed.
I guess I should put my color matched scoop on too...

I like your white color coded ARB bar, everyone has a black one, the white is fresh and different.
Still it's a great rig, no matter what colour,
Cheers

I have had a few people say that to me lately. I have seen a few silver ones that look good on white trucks.
There is black powdercoat under the white, the previous owner in JP i would think just got the thing sprayed white.
The black can be seen on the scratches and rock chips. I just want to prevent it from rusting....

The LED bar came in today.
Unfortunately it is just too small for the ARB mounting tabs.
The 30" is just too big also and will interfere with the bullbars uprights when trying to mount.

I'm going convert the lightforces first and reassess if I truly still want a bar. I think I would get too much bonnet glare mounting one under my roof rack. Especially with the big STI scoop going on. Not into blacked out bonnets.

Sorry to hear the light bar won't work. Did you try powering it to see how bright it is?

Oh, and it's hood glare, not bonnet glare (we're in Canada...haha).

Didn't want to get corrected by the Aussies.

I may try and make a bracket connecting the two tabs on my bullbar.

Lots of security measures are planned to prevent the thing from getting ripped off.

Karter, Are you familiar with this product? I'm fairly sure it can be tinted to match your existing paint if at some point you decide to go in that direction.
