My dream is a 70 series wagon with HDJ81 running gear (1HDT, and e-locked coil sprung setup front/back). As cool as the dual cab 79s are, that wheel base is just way too long for my liking....

But you can do this with them......:)

Hello,

A 1HD-FDT/H151F setup might be too long for a Prado.

What about a 1GR-FTE/H150 setup?

Awesome. Is she still going strong? I need a winch for mine asap. The thing is 2 weeks away and i already have a bunch of parts for it. Did the ARB bumper come with yours?

Yes she is.

Yup the ARB came with mine. Any specific plans or parts with yours? If you can fit it find a cheap 8274 and slap on a contractor solenoid you don't need a 24v motor.
I couldn't do one with my Lightforces I am currently running as they interfered. I have only had to use my winch half a dozen times anyway (xd9000i)

For armour options look at Jason from cruisin off-road. I really want him to build me a rear number but he doesn't have a template or a local truck to copy hint hint.

Haha sweet i will check him out when i decide to armor it up although i have a shop and i will probably just fabricate some stuff myself. I will definitely look into that winch. I was originally thinking of a more compact unit like the one you've got but i really cant find anything that looks decent used and everything new is so expensive because of the US dollar. half the stuff i have found used has been super expensive (800+?!) and looked like it was pulled from the wreckage of the titanic. Guys are talking about getting those winches for 200-300 bucks?!

Do you have any good sources for wiring info? im new to 24v.

3-500 for an 8274 usually depending on the condition. Wiring the winch? There is plenty of stuff on mud here.

Hey mate, when you fitted then 12mm pump to your 1hz what other mods did you need in order to get it too run, ive fitted one to mine and she wont fire. Im suspecting at the moment i will either need to set the timing of the pump very low, or beef up the crack pressure of the injectors themselves, keen to hear your thoughts.

@Pat80 who built your pump out of curiosity?
I set mine to the max spec provided by the builder for timing.
Injectors and pump need to be serviced together. The increase in fuel may need to have injector pressures increased.

Sounds to me like you haven't got all the air out of the injector lines. Are you getting fuel out of each one?

A high boosting turbo, proper gauges to tune, big exhaust and an intercooler

Its was built by a local guy here in OZ, has built loads of pumps before so im positive hes done it right. May just have to get my injectors set up properly...

I have definately bled all the air out, cranked it over with the glow plugs out and its injecting into each cylinder.

So got some maintance done in the last little bit here:

Full Brake Job front and back: calipers, rotors, pads, lines
Rear wheel bearings
Front swivel hub and wheel bearings
Clutch master, accumulator and slave
Rear transfer output weep (chasing a weep, I'm going to have to see if the front is also going in the next bit)

10,000km more I have the big 200,000km Mark. Timing belt, water pump, heater/rad hoses, thermostat, coolant flush, and power steering pump rebuild to fix a weep.

Fun never ends owning a 20 year old vehicle.
Oh and I forgot sometime this year I'll get around to installing a 4x4labs rear dual swing out bumper:)
