Mounted a hawse to my pto, to take care of the rope.
Turned out fine, from this rustbucket:

...to this:

Grinded everything down smooth to prevent rope damage.

And then fell into a sinkhole. underground river!

That sinkhole is crazy, bet you puckered up something fierce

got to test it out fully locked now... whoa, love it!
Now i need protection... all over, but mostly under.

Well, i no longer live in Tromsø, moved back home to the countryside... lovely!
Looking forward to see your lovely rig too, probably the cleanest looking 60 in norway!

Storage system and sleeping platform

I'm having little resources to get this thing the way i really want it, but i can always upgrade it later.
It was about time, always wanted drawers in the back, and a sleeping system.
This one throws out the back seats, to make use of the large area underneath.
I like to have heavy stuff low, and out of the way.

Total 190cm long, 130 wide.
I did not want the sleeping area wider, now i can reach underneath, and no problem to use the window.

The start... Drawer section full width, 150cm, shaped edges. Drawers are 50x20x100cm.

Studs to join plates.

Mock-up, using the same brackes as the rear seat, had a few spare. lots of place under there.

All done!

Gonna put some anti-slide carpet in the drawers.
Side of the drawer has top lid, also gains access to the rear quartes.

Magic area, i'm guessing there will be more trips now.

Ebay!

Well, to be serious, the dog is probably even smarter than me, i seem to forget english words all the time...
My sisters dog is more "diggish" :

Been on a few trips, even Land Cruiser drag...
Just havent got the time to post up something worth reading...
Soon, i guess!

Had a good time going 2200 miles to meet up with fellow Land Cruiser enthusiasts.
This is basically the route, but i had numerous stops, camping, fishing and enjoying the outdoors.

The sleeping platform and the storage drawers is probably the best mod i've done so far, makes the whole trip easyer, more comfy, and organized.

After just a few hours of driving, i got this rumbling sound off the back, so i guessed the diff was about to call it a day. But the truck was heavy loaded, and i was playing with the skinny pedal, so i just let the cruser choose its own speed and everything went very nice. I just got that sick feeling because i dropped in the worn third to have the locker.

First sorta camp, i'm camping inside due to cold weather...

Met a couple, they where heading the oposite way...nice rig!

I put the valve cover vent hose trough a catch tank and into the frame before i went off, and the frame was dripping... not cool...
I probably filled 3 liters of oil during the drip, but i like having it in the frame, rather in my intercooler and intake.

Down from a mountain pass i was in racing mode, and i could smell the brakes getting hot...
So i stopped to check it out, as the smell was kinda wierd.
Turns out all the mud in the calipers was on fire at one side, so my big bottke of apple juice took care of that...
Here it's still smoking...

Had trouble with the camera, so i dont have that many pictures, it's all in my head.
But i'll share what i have, and some of what others took.
Here's one from Stiklestad, where some of the viking history took place...
