Ok, I just got in from installing the transmission and crossmember. I just was not up to installing the toybox-split case setup so that is going to happen tomorrow night. Now that the transmission is in I can get the angle of the twin stick shift lever. I figured I better wait so I didn't weld them on at the wrong angle. I don't have any pictures because my dad has the camera but proof will come tomorrow night.

Dude...
I might be hitting you up with the x member and linkage fab for mine when the time comes!
That came out really frickin awesome!
Cant wait to see the completed pics!
Im a bit nervous as to how my set up is gonna come together when I have all the pieces in place!

awesome job

that thing looks killer man, wish i could weld like that.:D john

IT'S IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The drive train is fully assembled an installed. It is definitely a tight fit, but everything fits with a little clearance. I do not have a body lift so that made the install even a bit more challenging. After I spent a bunch of time trying to install it with the transmission and crossmember installed, I ended up pulling the crossmember and letting the transmission droop down a bit to give me a better approach angle into to align the output shaft and input coupler. I'm tired so here are some pictures. . .

Awesome-so we'll see you Wednesday morning.

Where did you get that output flange for the t-case? It does not look stock.

Does it really fit without hitting the body at the back of the tunnel?

Good job Dylan. Looks great. The first test drive when I got mine in the top rear of the transfer case was really close to the body on mine too. When I was driving on the road and hit a bump at higher speeds it would bounce up and hit the body. I ended up pushing the body up there and it has been fine since. I had to cut one of the plastic holds for the speedometer cable so it would reach.

Awesome

Awesome is the word , the fab work , the pic's , can't wait for more. Like many others the mod I truly drool to do myself. Time will tell. Keep up the awesome documentation and work. Good on you.:grinpimp:

Nice fab work man. I am going to have to barrow your talent when I SAS my BII.

Oops looks like I forgot the words! Anyway, here you can see the clearance of the shifters between when the toybox is forward in low and the transmission is in 2-4-R. Watch out when you are cutting the hole for the toybox shifter, there is a small wiring harness that crosses the transmission tunnel that interferes so cut the carpet first and move the wires.

Dylan

My toybox shifter angles to the driver side. Is the toybox shifter seated all the way down in the picture? All the way back is high for the toybox on mine and forward is low with neutral in the middle.

Here is a picture. Not the best. Guess your toybox shifter is different. That snap ring on the toybox shifter was hard to get seated right.

Good work..:)

Will you be able to mount the stock console with the toybox shifter? If not, what are you planning on running for a console?

No drive yet, I don't have drive shafts cut yet. That is weird about the toybox shifter, I don't see how it could go in 180 different. I'll investigate that in a bit. I plan on building a new center console that incorporates the shifter. I got the twin sticks done 100%, so I'll have pictures of that after dinner. The hi-neutral-lo has a lot of travel so I may have to open up the factory transfer case shift hole a bit.

I went ahead and purchased both the shift boots from Marlin, and I am glad I spent the extra cash because they are really high quality.
