What do you guys think. He has been working on this for a year. I had to post this cause it looks great, and it is quite neat with the duel rear tire carriers.

Badass! Those wheels do suck

You know what I thought the same thing about the wheels, but the more I looked at them it kind of grew on me . He has 2 sets of wheels besides, the other ones are bigger I think 39s. It has a full cage,ARBs front and rear,488gears,5speed and split case,Jim C engine going in and so on and so forth. Soft top,

Awesome! Love the color, stance, etc...

First thing that came to mind were the wheels. They just don't fit. Maybe I'm biased but I think some black steelies would look great ;)

Nice looking cruiser. No one has commented on the dual tire carriers. What is the story on the passenger's side carrier. Is this from another market or did he take a driver's side apart and put it back together for the passenger's side. I kicked around the idea of doing this mainly to keep the spare tire carrier from rattling and putting a dent in the rear door.

I bet they grew on you... Like herpes. Tell him to get rid of those... nobody likes herpes.

The first thing that I thought looking at the 40 was, damn those are some fugly ass rims. After that thought was that is a bad ass 40. Then it was back to those ugly ass rims. Do your friend a favor and tell him to loose the ghetto rims and other than that it is looking very good.

A lot of people said the same thing about my wheels !. Wheels are part of my life, and want it to have something to reminded me of on my first owned cruiser. I had the same set 20 years ago on a FJ60 and love them ever since. The GOOD part for some folk is that those ugly wheels are only for the trail. I had to switch them from my 1100 in order to roll the 40 out of the garage. For those who wrote against it, thanks for your sincerety ! I'll keep in mind the black rattle can !

Here's another picture with the DD. as it was on the way to Crum's Welding Shop in NJ for a new Roll Cage and Sliders.

Thanks James for posting this up!
